  2. You got a friendly garage near by? I'm sure they'll use the compressed air method for you for a few quid. You could also use a standard car air compressor (the kind for pumping up your tyres that plugs into your cig lighter. It'll take a while, but so long as you have a good seal at the entry point it will slowly remove them. I actually did this exact job yesterday, but luckily I'm at work on the tug so have access to compressed air.
  3. Hook back up to the brakes pipes on the car. Wedge some wood between (where the disc would traditionally go). Gently pump the brakes. That'll force the pistons out. Just remember this is a bloody messy way of doing it though.
  4. Productive few hours this morning. Rear calipers stripped and all pieces cleaned up. Rebuilt with new seals, Fuchs red rubber grease and new Mintex pads. Hopefully get around to the front ones in a few weeks.

  9. You don't get Octane that low in the UK. 95RON is standard. With 98 and 99 RON available.

  13. No need to go to Nissan dealer though. Try CZP and Z1 in the US. Also Rock Auto and Courtesy Parts in the US. Not sure what Belgian import tax is but you may be able to get some good deals.

  15. They were the Base model in Japan and weren't very common as the SWB with the Targas wasn't much more expensive. 3000 seems a reasonable production figure. I'm a slicktop owner and after chatting with another slicktop owner a few years back we reckon there are probably about 20 slicktops in the UK.

  17. Swore lots at it after ending up with half the brake fluid on the garage floor.
  18. The flip side of that is that someone claims dibs, then you wait 2 weeks for the guy to pay and then in the end they disappear without paying. In the mean time the 3 other people who were interested have all sourced stuff elsewhere so you've lost the sale. It's simple to me - first person to place cash in my bank/hand gets it. But I will only deal with one person at a time.
  19. I never get why people think "dibs" on a thread gives them the right to think the item is theirs. I sell to the first person to contact me privately asking for payment details. That's who gets the item.
  20. Just for clarification - UK national doesn't need a visa to go to the US unless they are working. It's called the visa waver program. As a seafarer I require a US C1/D visa. But if I'm just going on holiday I don't need anything.
  21. Can I just say that this thread is a terrible idea, and will get out of hand very quickly. I just recommend everyone take some time to do their research (on places other than forums!) and then place their vote in June. If you don't know jack about the topic, then don't vote.

  23. Yup. Mine is still with the compressor kit in my SWB.
  24. Is it just over spray? Use a medium grade clay bar to start. That should remove a good deal of it.
  25. Eibach and H&R are the 2 premium brands when it comes to spacers. But places like Tarmac Sportz and Torqen do their own versions which are perfectly suitable. I run 25mm ones from Tarmac Sportz
