  1. Some 16" will clear skyline brakes, dependent on offset and style, but to be safe you will need 17" plus to clear. Most steel wheels are very narrow, far too skinny for the Z. Meant for base models, not high peformance cars. Not to mention how they weigh more and are weaker than Alloys. You dont need steels for the rat look, plenty of alloy wheel styles that fit the bill without ruining the handling.
  2. Any EBC, no special requirements. You will see some advertised as Dual solenoid, this is not related to twin turbos, its all about accuracy/reliablity.
  3. AVCR is not bad, but not as easy to use as the Greddy though and no oem install location. Looks pretty good in black, ugly in the usual silver though. tbh, I'd go for whatever known brand EBC you can get for the best deal. I had a Greddy Profec E-01 previously. Excellent EBC, pricey though and the large green LCD screen is looking dated these days. If money is not an issue then I would prob go for the Blitz SBC i-Color (In black).
  4. Jun did pretty well for 300zx top speed - 262 mph :)
  5. Greddy profec B Spec II is the most popular choice. Its simple to use and does exactly what you need it to do. It also fits in the stock clock location, for a relatively oem style install. For ECU Remaps speak to John Dixon for his Remapped Chip options.
  6. What you have listed is very typical upgrade mods, and you dont really want to be running more than 1.0 bar (14.5 psi), for risk of running lean. Expected power with that setup with everything in good running order would typically be anything from 350-380 bhp (flywheel) with 1 bar boost.
  7. Why would we think your bullshitting ? Perfectly reasonable top speed for a stock Z....should even be able to get a bit more out of it.
  8. People on the skyline forum? I wonder where they get there "first hand" knowledge from :p
  9. GTR was launched : A few months after for the R32 - 1989 both 2 years later for the R33 - 1993 , 1995 1 year later for the R34 - 1998 , 1999
  10. The car was not designed any differently that every other Production vehicle with a High performance model in its range. The R32 GTR was developed with Grp A racing in mind, and part of the requirements is a minumum production of 500 vehicles. Nissan went with a full unlimited production run. The GTR model would of been designed alongside the entire rest of the range, not before or after or seperate from. The R33 GTR did'nt even come out till 2 years after the rest of the R33 range.
  11. I was taking into account that its a SWB, and a NA. They usually command a higher price than a lwb, but not by a large amount. A nice NA Manual may fetch 2500 as a swb, or 2000 as a lwb for example. Most buyers dont even know about the different versions, other than TT and NA.
  12. A car thats been off the road for a year with no mot or tax can only be considered as Spares or Repair. 750- Mot'd and without faults you could be looking at more like 2000 -/+ 500 , depending on condition, year and mileage.
  13. 170mph (gps verified) - 300zx TT Manual. 140'ish mph - 300zx NA Manual Neither speeds were flat out.
  14. If you dont mind me making a suggestion, I would do exactly that, keep it stock looking, but with the exception of some wheel spacers to bring those wheels out flush with the arches.....no need for any other changes.
  15. Its true though....well mostly true in that its probably what a lot of 350z owners think.....and somewhat true in that its partly the reality. :(
  16. Its from a film. I posted this on my FB a couple of weeks back and Murt replied that there is a big thread about it on driftworks and its from a film.
  17. Looking frigging fantastic mate !
  18. Anything from high teens to low 20's (17-23) is a typical average. They can be stretched to just over 30 mpg on long motorway runs, but will drop to single digits when being abused.
  19. ouch. Stupid long wheelbases :p
  20. No, my seats are a lot lower than stock. They are mounted to universal low-height sliding rails, with the stock mounting points cut off an OEM seat and welded on to the sliding rails. You could use the stock rails, but I found them to be too high.
  21. I have Cobra side mounts on my drivers (cobra) seat, but the Passenger seat never came with any.......so I purchased some universal side mounts of Ebay. Quality and design seemed fine, very comparable to the original cobra versions and with plenty of adjustment for heights and seat angle.
  22. Yeh, it is a Nissan engine. People just like to joke about it. 350z has never interested me. Quite like the 370z though.
  23. I thought you were all talking about the Z32 vs the R35......and then R35 vs Skylines.... ....so how did tuned versions of the R32 vs R33 vs R34 become a valid argument that the R34 is quicker than a R35 and that things like massive power-to-weight differences, 0-60/100, 1/4mile and track times dont matter. :confused1: Are we going to argue that the MG Metro is quicker than a Porsche 911, becuase this one time at band camp.... :nana2::nana2::nana2::nana2::nana2::nana2::nana2: :whistling:
  24. Rota GTR's are copies of the Nismo LMGT4. Im not familiar enough with either to tell the diff from the pics though.
