  1. NA Power Steering reservoir Ideal for TT owners looking to delete their Hydraulic HICAS Rear steering. £25 Delivered
  2. J.D Mapped TT Manual ECU Mapped for Raised Boost on UK High octane fuel Stock injectors and Turbos Usual Breathing mods - Intake, exhaust ..etc Rev Limited raised Speed Limiter Removed This is a very popular Chip for anyone looking to run around 1-1.1 bar boost on Stock turbos. £100 delivered
  3. 8/7 kg/mm as standard. But they offer other spring rate options. Some owners have fitted 7/5 or even 6/4. The older K Sports were something like 12/10, and I thnk the news ones are 12/8 or simlar.
  4. If it has the standard KSport coilover spring rates, then yeah they are far too hard for the road. Spring rate is about twice as much as something like the Meister R coilovers.
  5. THe HSD's would be the better quality coilover of the two, however I would personally go "Meister R" for that sort of price bracket coilover. The owner, Jerrick developed the coilover specification with the aid of Nitron (Highly regarded Motorsport UK Suspension company) for UK roads, plus has excellent UK support and is active on this Forum and there is a 10% club discount. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167629-10-OFF-Free-Shipping-for-MeisterR-Coilovers!-Code-300ZX
  6. A whole load of engine bay measurements now taken. next I'll be pulling the engine back out and starting on the Head strip down in preperation for some Headwork and Valvetrain upgrades. Also need to finish of the engine bay, which has been fully shaved (all no longer required brackets and holes removed and welded up) and is currently in primer.
  7. Very nice, if the NA route didnt work out I think SC would be my next call. Im rocking a RPS Max Street (Full Face).
  8. Trial fit in (unfinished) engine bay, for clearance checks and measurements. The dry sump gives me some much needed additional clearance for the ITBs and velocity stacks.:thumbup1:
  9. I seem to recall the PFR6B-11B was a specialist plug made for the U.S 300zx, and I thought was discontinued now. Previous thread from JeffTT : I believe the B are a slightly cooler plug, but harder to get in the UK. You are running Hybrid turbos with increased boost ?
  10. Tyre size Depends on the wheel width, and potentially the wheel offset for clearance. Staggered setups are the most popular on Z's (narrower front to rear), but a square setup (same front and back) can be utilised.
  11. Advantages Faster Acceleration (Lower top speed..but will reach top speed quicker) Lower weight - NA Diff, & Subframe weighs around 25kg less Full Hicas Delete Disadvantages Traction is more of an issue - Need excellent tyres to make best use of the Ratios More noise and Higher fuel consumption on Motorway (about 300rpm higher at 80mph) Driveshafts are weaker - Only a potential issue on very high HP cars at the Dragstrip
  12. Very Nice build
  13. oh..my...god...
  14. I didnt know about Hollings V8. Just seen the build thread, very nice - Seems like I've missed a lot during my forum hiatus :thumbup1: There are a lot of Twin Turbo setups already, especially overseas. There is also a Supercharged one in the UK in a 370z, ran by Shane Lynch (from Boyzone) for Team Japspeed.
  15. Today I collected this "little" beauty for my Slicktop Project. Nissan/Infiniti VH45DE 4.5 Litre 90degree V8 Many of you will be familiar with the VH45DE, our very own John Dixon has the 500ZX and our U.S forum member PerformanceVH has an excellent build thread on his VH45 transplant. This engine in in fact the twin to J.D's 500zx engine, imported and originally built alongside it, albeit to a less aggressive spec, as owned by forum member Friday(Leigh). I am a big advocate of the Z32's VG30, its a great engine and had this new opportuniity not come up I would be fitting a set of larger turbos, injectors, intercoolers..etc to the VG30 right now. But I've been there before, its nothing new and I would only be doing the same as so many others have done over the years - and besides my own personal fascination with having a responsive high revving "race" V8 I see this as a bit of an engineering exercise in itself due to the amount of custom engineering and fabrication required. The VH45DE is an engine that has interested me for the past 10 years. Its the engine Nissan had originally considered using in the Z32, and the same base architechture for the V8 engine that has been used in racing with the 300zx, 350z/370z and GTR since the 90's and by a large proportion of the WEC/Le Mans LMP2 grid until recently. I was so close to going this route many years ago when I started with the Slicktop project, but I just wasn't in the right position then to be able to take on such a challenge...I hope I am now. I intend to stay normally aspirated. The engine aleady has some mild headwork done, but Im looking at going a bit more aggressive than the current setup and utilising Intake and Exhaust tuning with the aim to hit that magic 100hp/litre. Although hitting it is not critical, Im not chasing high peak numbers, but rather an engine that delivers the power, noise and response I can enjoy in my lightweight slicktop. Head porting and Valvetrain work (tbd) Individual Throttle bodies (ITB's) with tuned length velocity stacks and a Dual Inlet Intake chamber. Inconel Equal Length 4-1 Primaries into a dual exhaust system with X-pipe Standalone ECU Management with custom wiring. Dry Sump Oil System Electric Waterpump and PAS Pump ...and more

  20. Thats my understanding. Presuming that website is up to date. I imagine we have a few MOT testers on here that could confirm.
  21. To swap to regular bulbs on an aftermarket HID system all you need to do is unplug the HID unit and Plug in the regular bulbs to the original loom. No changes to fittings should be required. However according to the following the Mot rules do not state the headlamps must have Headlamp washers, only that they may have headlamp washers and if they do then they must work. "Vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) or LED dipped beam headlamps may be fitted with headlamp washers and a suspension or headlamp self levelling system. Where such systems are fitted, they must work; however, it is accepted that it may not be possible to readily determine the functioning of self levelling systems. In such cases, the benefit of the doubt must be given." http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_170.htm
  22. I have'nt seen your previous forum posts on this, but hopefully I can offer some advice still. Conzult will only tell you what the ECU thinks the timing is, based on it presuming the Base idle is 15 BTDC. If the timing is out because the Belt is not aligned properly or the CAS has been adjusted then Conzult wont know. If Conzult is showing anything different to 15 BTDC at idle then its probably due to a high idle setting which can be from a faulty or incorrectly setup TPS, throttle valves need adjustment, Idle Control valve adjustment/cleaning/faulty, faulty Water temperature sensor or the Car was not fully warmed up when tested. A lot of your symptoms sound like either a Vacuum leak somewhere or a MAF Issue. Vacuum issues can be hard to detect, luckily the NA has a lot less vacuum pipes to fail than the TT. If you know another local Z32 owners then it may be worth trying their MAF. Faulty O2 sensors will affect fueling, but usually not to the degree you have mentioned. These can easily be checked in Conzult. You should see them sweeping from left to right on the gauge when holding the idle at ~2000rpm. Other than the popping and banging have you noticed a misfire from 1 or more cylinders, in the form of very rough running ? - This could point to Coilpack/wiring/PTU failures. You could still have an Injector failure, but they are less common in the UK, whereas they are a lot more common in the U.S with their higher ethanol fuel. More often than not any injector issues are down to poor connection and wiring which gets very brittle with age in the hot Z32 engine bay. Fitting larger injectors will need a ecu remap and wont offer any performance advantage on their own. Larger injectors are required to provide adequate fueling in conjunction with other extensive engine modifications.
  23. If you mean the Model series, then yes they are the same. There are 2 different versions of injectors though. Phase 1 injectors are the same from 1989 to 1995. Phase 2 injectors are from 1995 onwards The later version wont fit in the earlier rail without an adapter kit and different connectors. Brown connectors are the standard TT 370cc injectors, they are actually purple when new but go brown over the years.
  24. Its a bit daunting taking a Hammer and Chisel to it :scared:
