  1. VERY nice example. Looks great, although Im not keen on the Rear spoiler shape, too square. Chewie has the 99 jdm Spoiler, I think it would look great on yours.
  2. Thats a regular Roast isn't it with no entertainment...etc ? .....as I dont think they are holding Xmas parties on sunday nights
  3. My Businesses use 0845 numbers. It gives a professional image, it does'nt restrict you to a geographic area and its cheaper on caller as all they pay is local rate no matter where they are. It also means I can easily divert the number in seconds (using an online website) to my mobile or another office number if Im not at my usual office, so Im always reachable on a single phone number. I pay a low one of setup charge for a 0845 number and there are no service or call charges.
  4. Which restaurant you booking ?
  5. ahh man. Cant read this thread without sqeezing my legs together and hold my breath lol
  6. Are you mad !! Congrats Duffer
  7. Given all things the same (suspension, tyres..etc) then the SWB is definatly the better handler of the two. The lower weight and shorter wheelbase make it a lot nimbler and tighter through the bends. SWB will go around a bend faster, the LWB will be easier to hold in a drift.
  8. lol Cool purchase. The designer and inventor (no, not Sir Clive) of the C5 is a Zed owner (owns 2 of them) and customer at SWZ !
  9. Its not detting bud, or at least he didn't say it is.
  10. you'll need to specify which nismo alloy it is, or put up pic
  11. Have you unplugged the boost solenoids as you have fitted boost controller ?
  12. Gtech pro is only about £50 though and proven very accurate.
  13. you cant leave it till last, im leaving mine till last ! :)
  14. The UK model has a bigger water pump pulley than the Jap model, and subsequently different length belts.
  15. You need to find out the reason for the Head gasket failure. A Gasket can fail from old age, through deterioration but the more likely scenario is that the car overheated from a water leak and destroyed the head gaskets.
  16. LOL here you go - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=239 !
  17. No need to contact a specific owner in particular as its a very common problem that most zed's and there owners will have suffered at some point. 0.5bar boost is safety mode. You need to perform an ECU test to get the error code. http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html if you have any more info post up and we'll help
  18. MON = U.S RON = U.K not sure about the rest of Europe. RON and MON are both Octane ratings 98 Ron is about 95 Mon
  19. I cant decide....how about a chinese roast ! :D
  20. very true. I'd personally stick with Bypass over relocation.
  21. On standard fuel maps yes there is risk of detonation. To run on lower RON ruel the ecu has to be remapped for retarded timing.
  22. You could argue its effectiveness in that location however.
  23. yes, faulty wiring will cause safety mode in the same way faulty sensor will. They will need to check resistance between the loom. The Plug for the Det sensor is at the back of the engine bay, in about the middle just behind/above the plenum. Its a 2 pin grey plug. That plug connects the loom to the ECU and the loom the the Knock sensor. Bypassing means the car will not be able to sense detonation and protect itself...you would have to do it yourself (its usually quite audible). Another point though is that a properly running car on correct fuel should not get detonation and the Sensor only reads below 3000rpm as above that range engine noise is too much. Be very wary of the Nissans Dealers quote, because there is no way in the world they can do it in anywhere close to 2 hours ! As a general rule Nissan dealers do not have a clue when it comes to the 300zx ! They will also charge you about £200 for the sensor.
  24. The knock sensor is located at the back of the engine, bolted to the block inbetween the thh heads, underneath the lower Plenum. They will need to remove the upper and lower plenum to get to it. Budget for about £400 labour plus price of the knock sensor (150'ish depending on where you purchase). That is why it is so popular for people to just bypass it with a 1megohm resistor. Btw - It may not be the knock sensor. the Fault code can mean knock sensor failure or a poor connection in the loom from the ECU to the plug, and then from the plug to the Knock sensor.
  25. One size fits all ! :D There are some teeny weeny zed owners ;) and just as many giants ! Im 6ft'2 and find the zed extremely comfortable, my wife is 5ft1 and finds it just the same. The Benefit of 8-way adjustable seats.....no such a benefit with my new seats though
