What speed ... at what revs ... in what gear
there is an excel sheet for gear ratios for the Z32 which tells you rpm per speed , but Im having problems with my Home PC so cant get it...somebody else should have a copy though

Interior fabric
Most use Leatherette or "leather look" vinyl. Genuine leather is a more expensive option. Could also go for Alcantra or Suede.

ohh im in love
It is longer yes, but it all fits in still with the standard pumps and standard radiator location (there are a couple already out there with standard engine just dropped in), even without dry sumping (but with bonnet bulge). My understanding is that John went for the Electric pumps setup to reduce drag/load on the crank for more power and response.

one piece propshaft are they any good?
I spoke to a well known Propshaft manufacturer in the UK....they said if I bought at least 10 they could do them for £1200 each :headvswal

The woes of demisting
Yep, you ust need to replace the Aircon ECU as well, which is under the dash to the left of the clutch pedal box. Its a black box plastic box about 10"x5" with a small silver&green (I think) sticker on it. Its held in a metal frame with 2 small screws

£1 per litre......Boooooooooooo!!!!!
£1 per litre.... has its gone down then ?!

which are more sought after
I've had a few LWB's and loved them but the SWB is definatly the better drive, and IMO looks better too. A LWB often feels big and wallowey in comparison to drive. My slicktop was chosen because its the highest performing and best base for making a car capable of competition use (being the Lightest and stiffest) and IMO the slicktop looks better too as the targa's are'nt the most attractive feature, but I did like my old Targa's even if I only had the roof of a few times per year. I either "love" or "don't mind" the Convertible depending on the angle its viewed at, but I'm not keen on how they drive/handle, very cumbersome in standard form.

Original and 99spec
I dont see a problem with one of the 3/4 size plates attaching to the front even with the shaved number plate bracket. I think Im going for adding a lip myself(or with bodyshop) to a genuine 99spec though

one piece propshaft are they any good?
You should not feel vibrations with a one piece prop, if you do then the prop is either out of balance or the vibration is from elsewhere (eg. Gearbox mount or Diff). Its wise to replace the rear gearbox mount at same time, there is actually a design flaw that causes it to sag. I've found them to offer a noticeable improvement in performance, especially with low speed acceleration...but as wel as that they dont cost much more than a replacement centre prop bearing and never have to replace them again. Lots of modern high performance cars are fitted with one piece props these days.

Original and 99spec
I agree about the 99spec front bumper, and its left me in a dilema about my bumper choice. Im really not a fan of the original bumper, it dates the car quite badly but while the 99spec brings the front end right up to date, looking much more modern and fresher...its not quite as aggressive as the older bumper. I think the answer is the "Escort" front bumper which is basically a 99spec bumper with a lip/spoiler extension. Only prob is its Fibreglass. There is the option of importing that or to get a lip added to the genuine 99spec spoiler.

I Hate Ebay
There "faulty" refund policy is pretty much standard practice. They have to inspect it to check it is at fault and that the fault is covered by warranty (eg. you did'nt break it through your own fault...etc). If it is faulty then they should refund postage costs and either repair, replace or full refund.

Replacing hand brake gaiter?
There is seller on ebay who does some excellent quality gearstick and handbrake gaitors. Better than oem quality. I've purchased a couple of sets over the years. Does the standard black leather with black stitching, but can do any style you want.

Drool Dribble
yep, SS tubulars suffer badly with cracking. Iconel or cast is about only way for longetivity.

Winter Driving?
Any High powered rear wheel drive it not snow friendly....but ok in general wet/winter weather though...just be sensible with the right foot.

Your very favourite photo of a Z

Spoiler Removal
They are a bugger to remove and leave a right mess, lots of glue, holes, dents. Quite often you will end up with a rippled tailgate as removing the spoiler causes high and low spots. You will need to get it rubbed down the holes filled the whole lot fillered skimmed and then probably the entire tailgate resprayed. Then fit perspex strip that sits above the rear lights.

Engine numbers
I personally would'nt bother with the Grades ! The clearance between the biggest and smallest grade are all within the Nissan standard tolerances. All the aftermarket bearings available only come in a standard size for an untouched Crank, plus any engineering shop will fit standard size if you took it to them (or oversized if they had to grind crank ofcourse) I spent hours working out the bloody thing when I did my first engine, and then just went with a set of ACL Race bearings instead. Its the same issue with the SX blocks, and everyone just fits standard size.
