  1. Turbos are your restriction there, depending on exact spec of them - I'd go with 420'ish flywheel / 360'ish rwhp
  2. Seller is not SWZ, but that is the SWZ TT Convertible zed in the pic, I presume they asked permission to use picture. I would drop paul@swz a PM to ask about fitting.
  3. If you were really going for a 500rwhp figure then It would be a consideration, but if aiming for around 400rwhp mark then you rebuild own engine for much less.
  4. I;ve no idea, but here is a still pic that used to appear on here a while back
  5. I cant say I would fancy driving a 106 around castle combe surrounded by highly tuned evo's Glad it was'nt his green shortie.
  6. works out at 20mpg. Depends how your driving it tbh
  7. Thats quite good mpg works out about 27mpg on motorway run. you put KM for the other bit..did u mean km or miles ?
  8. I agree, but if that was my car I would ditch the line and blend the skirts which also makes them look less "stuck on".
  9. I thought this was a nice modern update to a classis aftermarket bumper - 99spec front indicators. A more modern shape than the older versions. First time I have ever seen them fitted to an aftermarket bumper.
  10. I did'nt think Zedworld did big jobs like turbo replacement anymore. They used to oursource engine removal jobs until that landed them in difficulties. They should have your turbos reconditioned, unless you ask for upgrades. I can tell you what other Zed Specialsits charge though - Typically £500-£700 to remove engine and refit, a couple of hundred for Turbo inspection removal and refit of new turbos. Recon standard tubs will cost around £400 each.
  11. I would say that typically a TT will average around 21-22mpg and a NA around 25-26mpg. However it depends on what mix of driving you do, as the TT can actually be more ecominical on the motorway becuase of its taller gearing. Both capable of 30'ish mpg on a steady motorway run.
  12. They wont fit the 99spec bumper.
  13. just me and you then.....or nobody else has seen this thread as its not appeared in there "new posts" LOL
  14. Happy Birthday :duffer:
  15. I'd planned to go to this, but not having my slicktop ready yet has put a big dampner on my enthusiasm and combined with the travelling distance in a peugeot diesel kinda ruled it out for me :(. The Pentroof looks fantastic, as ever. What were the fasted Zed times then ?
  16. Your unlikely to find a decent good condition stripped shell on its own (most are rotten, and for the rest there is little regard given to the shell when being stripped) and replacing every little part that had been removed would be a nightmare. However, Complete cars with knackered engines can be picked up for less than £1000, then just transplant your engine into it and break the rest for bits to sale. THe other option would be to just break your current car and buy another one as you can make more money breaking it than the cost to buy another decent one.
  17. anyone else find that the "New Posts" button isn't always 100% reliable ??  Im forever finding replies to previous threads I've started or replied to than never showed up under New posts.
  18. Headlight removal - http://tech.aus300zx.com/headlight_removal/headlight_removal.htm Headlight Disassemble - http://tech.aus300zx.com/headlight_disassembly/headlight_disassembly.htm
  19. Sounds good to me nick....although a few points - There are better Coilover suspension setups than the Teins for the money. Teins are underservadly "fashionable". The flex's which I imagine your thinking of aren't Monotube for a start, and dont have a good reputation for build quality or design. For example - The SPL Coilovers are very well regarded with proven competition history, a montube design and cheaper than the Teins! Im looking to go for a rear diffuser for mine, any pics and where did you get from ? Doors - Dont do it! There is no side impact bars for the zed...its dangerous and not suitable for the road - if you got hit from the side you would die! You would need a FULL roll cage if you did this. The only company who currently market CF Z32 doors will not even sell it for road use. Targas Yep, good idea. Bootlid Some good weight savings, ideally with a perspex rear screen too. One thing to bear in mind though is that the zed's weight distribution is heavier on the front so your losing weight from the wrong end. Weight saving is a good idea but you must keep it balanced. Its quite easy to lose weight from the zed rear end, but harder to do from the front.
  20. whats the improved headlights - HID's ? If so then the inside of your headlights must be very dirty, very common and is the reason many experience such poor night visibility. You need to take them apart and clean them. Other reason could be that the HID's you have are a very high colour heat temperatute (more blue/purple than white). Do you know the temp rating ? (eg. 4300k, 5000k, 6000k, 8000k, 10000k, 12000k)
  21. Good point about speed sensor. 99.9999% sure that 0.75 is the 5th gear ratio for TT and NA Manual. It should be in the "300zx enthusiast companion" book, but I dont have a copy here to confirm.

  23. Gearbox ratios are the same ! The ratio is only different in the Rear differential.
