  3. There has been quite a few magazine comparison tests, performance and track time is similar. They all tend to give the RX7 the edge on being more sports orientated in standard form, while putting the zed as the better all-round car. Royal had a fairly stock 2+2 TT Zed and has a stripped out full-on 500/600bhp monster of an RX7...so might not be the best comparison. LOL Trevz however has had several RX7's and Zed's and might be able to advise
  4. Only problem with them is that they do tend to make the already oversized Mirrors quite a bit larger, and there shape is'nt entirely in-keeping with the rest of the car. But there is very limited choice out there if you want to get rid of the wing indicators.
  5. Not a trader anymore and has'nt been on here in about 18months :(
  6. TT 280-300bhp 280 Ib.ft torque 0-60 in about 5.5 secs Top speed around 175 (unrestricted) NA 225 (ish) bhp 190 ib/ft torque 0-60 in High 6 secs - low 7 secs Top speed around 150 Mpg averages low around 21-23mpg. Both will do single figures when flooring it, or 30mpg at a steady motorway cruise. NA will probably do a couple of mpg more than the TT, but it all depends on how you drive it as the TT has effortless power but will naturally drink more...however the NA's require a good thrashing which does'nt help with its fuel addiction.
  7. Welcome. Have a look throught the buyers guide and the for sale section. Never think of the the 300zx as 2nd choice to the skyline. The 300zx is Nissans premier sports car and the skyline is basically a 2 door saloon with a primera interior. ;)
  8. Hi, If your looking to purchase the polished light up kick plated then you can get them from http://www.smithys-place.co.uk under "engine enhancements". The exterior pic shows a 99spec LWB NA. The red stitching Gear shifter was part of the Verions R package. THe other gearknobs shown are option Navan Parts.
  9. I have a technical question ! I did the modification to headlights today so that my HID dipped beam stays on when I put on full beam....however it resulted in the HID dipped beam flashing on when I flash my full beam too. This is no good, as will severly shorten the life of my HID's. I want full beam only to flash when my headlights are off....and for my dipped beam to stay on when I flash with headlight on. I did it my earthing the middle pin (5) of the Headlight dimming relay in main fuse box. I got the same result by just earthing one of the HID dipped beam earth wires. is there another way ?
  10. The postman delivered some xmax cards today for the people that lived here before we did. :headvswal
  11. Running severly overrich, while less likely, could also be cause.
  12. I know of a couple of people in the UK with them, no problems. A lot of the bad reports were a while back now, but definatly get them flow tested first. I've also heard of issues with the supplied o-rings, so its best to use oem seals.
  13. Looks great Mick. Good luck.....any news ?
  14. Everyone should check it regulaly, a common problem thats potentially very dangerous.
  15. Its the Cat overheat light. It means unburnt fuel is igniting in the exhaust system. This is usually becuase 1 or more cylinders has a missfire. Could be poor coilpack connection or PTU problem.
  16. Ahhh...Si's asking Greg out on a date :D
  17. Yep its mounted to the top of the Clutch pedal under dash. Unfortunatly its a pricey part to replace new, and not easy to find used. No need for dash removal, but you will spend a while upside down in drivers footwell. Undo the 2 bolts holding Clutch master cylinder on in engine bay, and there is one other nut at the very top of the clutch pedall thats sits behind the Speedo, but you can get to it and see it from underneath the dash.
  18. MAF. Its either sucked up water through the Filter and may be ok once dried, or MAF has just failed. Also check connector.

Yep, I would list them as basic 60k service replacement with the cambelt. And then the Idler pulleys and Tensioner should be checked and replaced if necessary. They are 120k service items.
  20. Different garages charge different amounts.
  21. Yep, noise is a Vacumn leak in the Clutch booster.
