  1. Thats better. :) I would also reccomend the Falkens for price, performance and wear.
  2. seen some fitted to a zed too.
  3. Lower the subframe. Undo the 2 rear nuts, enough for the subframe to drop but keeping the nuts still on the end of the bolts. It will angle the engine down a bit, helping to get the gearbox lined up without hitting transmission tunnel
  4. Si, your 35 rear profile does match the 40 front profile. Remember the profile is a percentage of the width. If you fit a 40 profile on the back you'll have a bigger sidewall than the fronts. 235/40/18 is pretty much exactly the same as 265/35/18, but the 265/40/18 has a circumference difference of 3.3" and a diameter difference of 1", resulting in a 0.5" larger sidewall. and definatly dont fit a 40 profile if you go wider than 265 as it will look very odd.
  5. Sorry to hear, get well soon Vinz
  6. Your not going to be able to avoid filling and painting. Removing the stock spoiler leaves quite a mess. You'll have 5 holes, a lot of paint damage and glue to remove. You will need to have the holes filled and smoothed, and the tailgate sprayed. Then you will need the Perspex strip to cover the area above the rear lights. Alternatively you can fit a Fibreglass tailgate skin which covers all of the above up in one go, and leaves a kind of smooth lip spoiler on the end. Its just as much work to do though. If removing wiper then get hole welded and filled. If you just fill it then it will crack and the filler/fibreglass will sink.
  7. Im unclear on the exact cause/reasons of the goose honk noise, but you wont hear it just from fitting an induction kit, unless there is a problem(ie leaking recircs) Its pretty rare tbh
  8. All the big powered Zed's in the states run Single Propshafts. Never heard about any problems. Would in theory hold more power than the stock propshaft.
  9. They seem fine quality wise, but I have had some fitment issues with them, in terms of the angle they sat at and touching eachover...etc Managed to sort it out, but may not be straightforward for everyone.
  10. They were on ebay a lot, cheap 18's that people like the deisgn of. Lots of people seemed to be buying them of ebay a couple of years back and fitting them. There are'nt a lot of wheels that will fit in terms of having the right width, offset and stud fitment(PCD) in comparison to regular cars, so a lot of zed's tend to have the same wheels fitted.
  11. Less drivetrain weight, resulting in better throttle response, quicker acceleration and less power loss to the rear wheels. Similar to fitting lightweight pulleys and lightweight flywheel. Also means no more having to deal with the common failing propshaft bearing.
  12. With larger SMIC's you get the same benefit of Improved Inlet air cooling without having a big Intercooler restricting air to the Radiator and engine. You could argue that there are'nt really any reported overheating issues with a FMIC though and they look pretty tasty. Either way both are an improvement over the Stock intercoolers which suffer with high pressure loss and insufficient cooling with raised boost. Ah, but Ed if my memory serves me correctly, your sidemounts are the earlier ebay versions which are only marginally larger than stock and by far the smallest available.
  13. No, your problem is not related to it being a Manual engine. Have you checked that your getting spark and fuel ? Pull out a coilpack, stick a spark plug on it and with it plugged in and resting on the plenum (away from the fuel lines) crank the engine over to see if the sparkplug is sparking. You should really do this for each plug, but realisticky if you have at least 2 sparking then it should fire up. If you have no spark on any then most likely to be a dead PTU or bad wiring loom (wiggle main loom to see if that improves it). If you have spark, then problem is fuel related. Check connectors on injectors and the CAS, can you hear fuel pump when you turn on ignition?
  14. Liking the Polished Ali Cam covers. No price though.
  15. Welcome. A fairly stock 'H' reg, TT Auto is only going to fetch around £2000 realistically, depending on condition. Prices are very low right now. Typical Average MPG is anything low 20's. If its not had a 60k Cambelt service, then thats going to cost £500, but regular services are just typical costs for any car.
  16. I like that. I "think" the 260z 2+2 is a lot less desirable than a 240z or a 260z 2+0.
  17. If you fit a set of HID's to a 300zx it will pass Mot. If you fit a set of HID's to a regular car without ellipsoid projector headlights it will fail MOT ! Its becuase of the beam pattern, look how sharp the cut of is in my pic above thats exactly how it should be, but if you fit them to regualar cars the beam pattern will be all over the place and cause lots of glare. HID's were designed for ellipsoid projector headlights and should not be fitted to other cars, and thats where the law fails, its to general.
  18. HID's = One of the best Z32 upgrades you can buy! While moving cars about the other evening, I noticed a nice example of the difference between HID lights and decent Standard Halogen lights. So snapped a couple of pics with my phone. In first pics Im standing in inbetween my Zed on the left with 6000k HID's and my Celica on the right whose headlights are FAR superior to the zed stock headlights. It was'nt as dark outside as it looks in the pics and If I had a zed with stock headlights you would barely see any light on the fence at all!
  19. no, I'd say about double that as an average figure. Based on the MPG most people have said above your looking at 40-50 miles on £10
  20. The spacing of the bolt holes are different. You would have to modify the rear hubs by cutting off one of the hole lugs and rewelding it in correct place.
  21. I hope thats not the correct picture, as that is a pic of the smaller SS clutch line that runs from the hardpipe to the slave that everybody else sells. Description does say Master to slave so might just be generic pic. Price is about same as what the shorter one sells for too though.
  22. ahh...Dim Dip..yes, now I get what he meant. I dont think all UK models have it, but yes it would need to be disabled if it has it.
  23. With "normal" driving (if thats possible in a Zed LOL) you should expect around 20-23mpg average. They will do around 30mpg on a long steady motorway run, if you have a heavier right foot then more like mid-high teens average.....and if your racing it around everywhere then expect single figures. I know someone who does 55miles out of her NA everyday to work and back on £10 (mostly motoway)
  24. Yep, it will go straight from Master to slave and do away with all other pipework and you just bleed it on the slave then. You can either have M10 straight fittings both ends, or you can have a banjo fitting at the slave end. Does'nt make any difference either way as far as Im aware, but if you go for a M10 fitting at the slave then make sure the M10 bolt is long enough as it needs to be longer than the Master one to seal properly. Take your master and slave along and all should be fine.
