  1. Quicker Z's down 1/4 than that out there.
  2. In theory yes, and would'nt look like the car has had a frontend smash either. Be interesting to see if its just as effective.
  3. Back up to $120 as of yesterday apparantly
  4. I agree. My very 1st post here in 2002 was asking about fuel costs, compared to the car I was driving at the time. The answer is that you get a lot of smiles per gallon :)
  5. Only ever see the term used on the U.S forum...and seriously overused. No need, even if there are people using 56k modems why is there the need to warn them anyway annoys me ! LOL
  6. Most common reasons are Worn tension rod bushes or Warped Discs.
  7. LMAO, Brilliant
  8. Its around £1000 delivered for a set of New stock turbos from the states, or £600 delivered for a set of cores (CHRA) and you use your original turbo caseings to build them up to a complete turbo.
  9. 382R is the code, which is a 21w Bayonet Bulb with Straight pins in red.
  10. Get the front in the air and take a look at the tension bushes, they are gel filled and will leak when they have failed, but general condition wether leaking or not will point to an issue with them. as for the Steering rack bushes, have somebody shake steering wheel left and right while you check for movement of the steering rack. No need to fit adjustable tension rod arms which I guess is where you got the £125 quote from, unless your looking at lowering the car in which case you need them along with Adjustable upper arms to solve alignment issues. Just get the Tension rod Polybushes for about £30 as 8ace says, if your stock ones need replacing.
  11. I would recomend fitting UK clocks. Just get a set the same series as your car (the majority of zed's being series 1 anyway, so its not a problem getting the correc ones). UK clocks will Display in MPH, and show your Turbo and Oil presssure gauges in PSI. It will also mean that the Hicas and Pas works correctly, which they dont with a convertor. Plus UK clocks are better looking IMO.
  12. umm......how about a 300zx ? (except for fuel economy LOL....although Mr2 Turbo wont be much better)
  13. He does'nt tell me anything LOL I've not been round there in a few weeks either. You'll be pleased with the car, Im sure, nice example - Just needs your engine in it really. Your getting manual conversion done on it too ? His girlfriend still upset with him about selling it though LOL
  14. Blimey Lee, did'nt realise you were going for such a big spec. Nice one. Will be an impressive car when finished.
  15. Trevz always selling it LOL about 3rd of 4th time now. I reckon he must keep changing his mind though as its a nice example.
  16. £900-£1000 ! ouch. You wont want to hear that you can get better tyres for half the price then :x:
  17. ok, that makes more sense LOL Is yours a UK car ? That will be your Engine oil cooler. The small one in front of that will be the Hicas/PAS cooler.
  18. 12" x 24" ? No idea, not standard. Wont be aircon anyway. Its far to big for an oil cooler too. Take a pic?
  19. Yes. Same as a TT but without the restricted boost ofcourse, it still retards timing and runs richer fuel maps.
  20. Bridgwater ? There was one one on Wylds Road, but that went years ago...did it move ? There is one in Cheddar is'nt there ?
  21. Engine oil cooler ! Dont remove
  22. My advice would be to remove the Airflow controller, its offers no advantage with your spec and will just cause running problems. Performance issues could be a result of many causes. Error codes putting it in safety mode. Vacumn leaks. Retarded timing, Running rich from Bad o2 sensors or FPR. Incorrect or old spark plugs. Do an ECU test to check for Error codes. Check around the engine bay with engine running for air leaks (or get hold of a boost leak detector) Have the timing checked (should be 15 BTDC). See if you can get the car checked by somebody with a conzult or Datascan, and check for o2 sensor problems.
