Ebay De-cats any good?
Fitment issues. Mainly incorrect bend angles so it wont line up wit the Catback section. Somebody else mentioned the other day about having a set with the length completely wrong. I have fitted several sets of these, they were all fine, except for the set I fitted to my own car :(

Ebay De-cats any good?
Most people have had no problems with the ebay decats from 2fast2cool , unfortunately myself and quite a few others have had a lot of problems with them. :( As always the problem is quality control.

Greedy Boost controller
Could give you some general settings that will get you close enough, but tbh every zed is different and its best to set it up properly by following a procedure : SET = The desired boost setting (as a percentage 0-100% (OFF to MAX Boost available) GAIN = Boost response/consistency. Too low will mean its slow to boost and too high will cause spiking SET GAIN = Is the lowest pressure that the greddy will wait for before building boost. You want this to be around 3psi less than the boost setting your after. First change it from Kpa to PSI according to instructions. Put the Set Boost on around 40% , and leave the GAIN at 0. Put the SET GAIN on 3psi less than your desired setting (so if you want 14psi then put it on 11psi). Take it up the road and in 3rd gear see what boost your getting. Increase the SET Boost by around 5% till you get the desired boost. Then you want to increase the gain, start at 5 and go up in 5's. You want to find the point where it starts to spike and then turn it down a little. You should'nt need to go over 20. Once your getting the correct boost with no spiking you can set the Warning a little above your desired boost setting.

No Frills??
LOL...fixed, I meant somerfields

No Frills??
I would put it in exactly the same league as Tesco and Sainsburys. The big 3 stores - Tesco, Sainsurys, Asda Next tier down - Somerfields, Morrisons, Co-op , Iceland (Big Brand stores, but tend to be smaller with more limited supplies) Lowest - Aldi, Lidl ..etc (foreign produce, lack of big brands, very cheap)
-
No Frills??
Dont Tesco still use the Value range ? Your surely not lumping Asda in with Aldi and Lidl there are you !?

£1k to spend this year
If you want anywhere near as low as Jimmy's then you will have to fit coilovers. While you could get a lowering spring that short, it would have to be so stiff to prevent the car bottomng out that it would rattle your fillings our, kill a set of struts quite quickly and would not offer good handling. Dont forget that when lowering significantly you would also need Adjustable camber arms front and rear and tension rods.

front half TT prop not mating with rear NA half ??
Its the rear flange of the front prop you change, where it joins to the rear prop. So you use your TT manual prop, but with the NA flange on the end.

front half TT prop not mating with rear NA half ??
ahhhh....just remembered what you need to do !..... ...do you still have the auto NA front prop half ? if so, unbolt the flange from the end of it and put it on your TT Manual front prop half Thats what you need to do, sorry, you can use the TT manual front prop half, but you must swap the flange end over. so it bolts up to he NA rear.

front half TT prop not mating with rear NA half ??
no...the Auto and Manual rear half of the propshaft are the same, they only differ between NA/TT and SWB/LWB The lengths are ok, its just the fitment is different between each end ? Just trying to get my head around the combination's.....I believe what your going to need is a Manual NA Front prop half.

LMAO - Metal fatigue and lower arms
There are aftermarket lower arms available - Driftworks, SPLparts.com ..etc The main purpose of them though is to be able to fix the Centre roll axis after severe lowering, I have no idea wether they are able to withstand the stresses any better than the stock arms.- Anyone fancy a meet this weekend? 2nd-May
I think Paul was on about a pre-japfest BBQ, so thats a few weeks away. I'll prob be up for something, don't have any plans for the weekend currently- Finished university
Congrats !! Now get a job you worthless layabout :p I start uni this september :wack: - is funkySi homophobic ?
