  1. Common knowledge, there are many threads about turbo seal failure from decats. Its not quite as simple as that though, its not "will" cause failure, its "can" cause severe premature oil seal failure.
  2. oh dear, looks like somebody got half way through putting the box on and then forgot they hadn't finished it and didn't check it over. :nono::nono:
  3. Looks very clean and tidy. And yeh, as said extremely rare blue interior option.
  4. UK cars and Imports with the Rare Blue interior had Blue tint glass. All other Imports are bronze tint.
  5. I really like X5's, I would have one. I dont care if they are not as good as other 4x4's off-road....its not what its for, they are much better than all the others on the road and the 4wd still offers great all-round winter road handling. They are lovely to drive and quick too. They look great, I like the high seating position, lots of space and safe for the family.
  6. Never driven or been in one then Si? They make fantastic Long distance tow vehicles. I have done literally thousands and thousands of miles in P38's travelling up and down the country collecting cars and I cant really think of any other vehicle I would want to do it it. The height and size make them excellent for towing, height adjustable suspension makes loading a heavy laden trailer so simple, the engines are very torquey and smooth.....and combine that with High end Bmw/merc style luxury and loads of space it makes them ideal.
  7. oh right, there are some references to problems with very early 89-90 models, but any issues would have long been rectified by now. There are no real reliability concerns from any of the years.
  8. Yep, its Range rovers people use for serious off-roading...not Disco's Obviously not the one that Si posted though lol
  9. Congrats on the Purchase, sounds very nice. Which thread? got a link ?

Look at that attendance list  This is going to be a fantastic...cant wait !! :duffer: :duffer: Possibly the biggest Z Event of the Year ! (this or Zedfest, later in the year)
  14. Remove the mesh, its not required. Most MAF's have at least 1 side of the mesh damaged or removed. Some people remove the mesh as a modification (not that it would actually make any noticable improvements.
  15. Looks tidy, although not personally a fan of some of the body mods (front bumper, tailgate tub, bonnet and the silver mesh) What were they thinking with the doors though!, they fitted smoothed in widearch skirts but left the swag line in the door :headvswal
  16. Happy Birthday JD
  17. Change the alloys and I quite like that ! whats is it ?
  18. Fully restored Campers are worth an absolute fortune
  19. The spray adhesive tends to bubble and unstick itself with the heat that a car interior gets to in the summer months, plus it takes a fair bit of force to stretch the material around the curves and hold it there.
  20. Mrogers (member here...or was) You need to remove your old tweed. Get yourself a tin of Evo stick instant contact adhesive...solvent version. (not the non-solvent version, thats crap). and some superglue also comes in handy for holding the ends down while the rest glues. Takes a fair bit of time and patience...and its very hard to get it 100%. I've done a couple of Interiors now, including redoing several times....and I could never get it as good as the professionals, so with my Slicktop I paid to have it done instead and very glad I did.
  21. The opposite really. The fronts will sit inside the arch a little too far, but the rear is spot on. a 20 to 25 offset is better for a 8.5" on the front
  22. the 5x114 is the stud fitment, which is correct for the 300zx. The ET35 is the offset. Bascially the higher the number the further in the wheel edge sits in the arch and the lower the number the further out they will sit of the arch. ET35 with a 9.5" rim is perfect for the rear ET35 with a 8.5" rim will sit a little too far in the front arch for that "perfect stance" but its just a visual thing, and can be altered with spacers if you wish. At the very worst you may need a small spacer to clear the calipers but thats all dependent on spoke design.
  23. awww...no , so were letting any old riff-raff in here now then ! welcome mate ;)
  24. Full instructions courtest of zx-eyes on how to post pictures using photobucket :http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=116565
  25. I think your thinking of Metallic flake (an aftermarket paint affect), rather than metallic paint.
