  1. i thought it looks very promising ! Looking forward to it. Christian Bale
  2. Headgasket gone - 65 parts and 350 labour
  3. Go for the Braided hoses, bracket not required then.
  4. yes they do look slow, and Im sure a lot of them were going slow, not all of them though. It feels a LOT faster when your in it. Although ofcourse the first track session was in the pouring rain. But I reckon a lot of it is to do with the noise, the small engined cars sound like they are screaming their nuts off compared to the big V6, which alters the perspective of speed to onlookers.
  5. Fuel octane has no affect on turbo lifespan.
  6. A dark grey, and its the same for all Z's no matter what colour.
  7. Not a fan. Is he at least being sarcastic about it all like Wogan was, or is he actually into it ?
  8. Wogan does'nt present anymore ? :( :( He was the only reason anybody in the UK watched it surely....his piss taking comments, very funny.
  9. There are loads of Z's out there that are standard, its only the low odometer reading that makes it any different - the description makes it quite clear that its in no way in top condition...and since there are Z's out there that are in top condition I dont see the attraction. Mileage is meaningless, its about all condition. If it was in Mint factory condition then that would be different. oh, its also not the lowest mileage out there either
  10. its quite typical for the looms to develop breaks from being moved about so much, or injector connectrs get broken and dont seat properly afterwards. One by one pull each coilpack connector off to find out which cylinders are not running, then you need to test for spark on the dead cylinders with a coilpack and spark plug resting on top of the plenum.
  11. Definatly report this woman and her dog for - not having her dog on a lead and not beign in control of her dog - It harassing the horses - trespassing - Violent acts against your dog Allowing a dog to enter other property and upset farm animals is pretty serious. Your sister and her dog are in no way to blame, ofcourse you shouldn't have your own dog on a leash on your land FFS.
  12. Sounds good...but from the description in the advert it sounds like its condition doesn't necessarily reflect its low mileage. In which case..what makes it special? Nothing really, and its an Auto :x:
  13. Nissan make various version of the Skyline, apparanrtly a lot of the versions are used as Taxi's in Japan. Think of the Skyline as an Escort. The GTR is the RS Cosworth, the GTST is the RS Turbo/RS2000 , and the other versions are your regular everyday escorts.
  14. Is your steering wheel dead straight when your going straight ? Do you have stock steering wheel ? Does your speedo continue to work correctly ? Do you have KPH>MPH convertor ?
  15. no need to cap them off. Kinda...the aircon box is inbetween the heater blower and the heater matrix unit, if you took it out the entire heating system would no longer work as air from the blower would have no way to travel to the rest of the system. What you can do though is open up the aircon box, rip out all its insides and refit the now hollow box in place, and everything would be good. Weighs around 10kg. Its a PITA to remove though.
  16. people do it for the performance gains of less drag, but it can be a bit of a headache to get setup working correctly...plus no electric fan can pull as much CFM has the stock fan. Yes, stock fan is fine with uprated rad.
  17. ahh yes, I remember now. That was Maxsunny and I believe he took the red in as a PX on his blue one, but then subsequently sold the red on shortly after.
  18. Tizer's old Z, Im sure he sold it to another forum member..
  19. Technically its an overflow tank rather than an expansion tank. As Chris says, as the water expands from heat and the excess water is pushed into the overflow tank, and then when it cools the vacumn sucks the water back up. Without the tank the rad will push the water out onto the floor and then you run the risk of it running low. Thats the theory anyway, in reality I've heard of some removing it without apparently ever having issues,
  20. "Japanese theme, so I stuck swords in the back".....what a twat! Thats what i was thinking...I was confused what it was from the pics at first
  21. no, dont have it on permantly. Its programmed to come only when temperature reaches a certain point...and its perfect leaving it that way.
  22. All mechanicals are the same between LWB/SWB, except for the different length propshaft.
  23. No you dont need to block/blank the bulkhead connections.
  24. Its primary role is as an emergency overheating fan, rather than for the aircon....so its role is still very important. I removed mine, but I have a water temp gauge with warning features and my car is for the track/weekend toy, where it wont be sitting in traffic jams. Removing it allows for improved airflow to the Main radiator. I personally would not recommend removing it to anybody else though.
