Hi Lee, What type of alarm are you running and who fitted it ? Glad you have it working again, I've just bought a new toad system and I think I will be doing a writeup on how to fit it properly. Although for obvious reasons I think it will be posted in the subbed area. ~ Really surprised that a toad alarm is failing although the closure box isn't part of the toad alarm. I've seen a lot of alarms over the years and I would say that the toad AI606 is best alarm for the zed. If its installed correctly there's nothing that could ever fail apart from a battery running out. Strangely enough I've just ordered a new one along with new sensors for my current zed project.

Thought I'd start a separate thread about this particular ECU as it really interested me. The ECU is the Link G4+ and its a direct plug in replacement for the standard zed ECU. General retail price I have been quoted is £910 plus vat which matches up with what I see on ebay. I managed to get a glance of one of these ECU's today as it was getting fitted to a Skyline which apparently uses the same connections as the zed. This is a MAP device so when hooked up properly you can disconnect the standard MAF. Options available that was recommended to me but i'm unsure about is to replace the standard O2 sensors and install new wideband Sensors along with the wide band controller from link, these are also about 290 plus vat each for the Kit. Lastly you need your other addon sensors, like, water temp, Oil Temp / Pressure and so on. What i'm trying to figure out is what exactly do I need minimum now to get this to work. Extra sensors I can add on later, just trying to keep costs down for now.

Wiring it this way as its suggested in the instructions as best for purpose. Not that I read instructions often but running two parallel I didn't want to overload old cable.

Wiring up my two news horns and as they need a separate 12v feed I've setup a relay to trigger them from the main horn feed. For some reason the relay didn't work so while I was under the car sorting it out I decided to test the horns directly and put the 12v feed on the horns. Bad idea ! I royally shit my pants under the zed as it was so damn loud :) I'll try sort the feed properly and post of video of it.
