  1. Mind Gary back then you went by your normal name rather than Gaz 300. Does that mean your just a clone ?
  2. PM's is a premium feature and you need to have a active club subscription.
  3. I can remember things like that too but in the end innovation can get blocked by the big corporates as there is still plenty of cash left in the oil markets.
  4. I remember everything I remember every little thing as if it only happened yesterday I was barely seventeen, and I once killed a boy with a fender guitar Listening to Meatloaf and Jims Lyrics was my childhood right there. ? I never learned to play a guitar as i likely would have smashed it off a wall .?
  5. Last upgrade has reset the minimum word length to 4 characters. I've put it back to 3 but i will have to rebuild the search index which may take all night.
  6. Happy Birthday Craig, all the best.
  7. They will also vary between years, newer zeds moved the lower lamps into the main cluster after the series 3. What age is your zed ?
  8. 1. No you dont need a different ECU for the manual. 2. Just leave it it will work fine. 3. You can get a bridge cable from Wiring Specialties or just bridge the cable. (or make a secret switch for an anti theft system) 4. You will need a new prop as they are different sizes. 5. You will need to run a ground wire from the gearbox to ECU Pin 44 for the Neutral Switch, easy way i do this is chop the plug off or find a spare plug, ground one side of the plug to the gearbox and run the other side to pin 44.
  9. Thanks guys, Had a fairly uneventful day.
  10. I see a Grand Tour coming ! I'm so up for doing this and helping with the Scottish side of it. Just need to find an engine for my zed ?
  11. Happy Birthday Andy.
  12. I'm getting Jimmer to do the build but need to ensure what i'm sending him id good for the job. At the moment the heads i have seem to have issues in that the inner cams wont rotate properly. The cams have been out the heads for 6 months now but have been stored in oil and i also ensured the caps were not mixed up. When dismantled again a few of the valves dont move easily so i'm thinking they are bent.
  13. Shoot, never notices they were 40p. Been quoted 250 per bank to refurb the current set I have.
  14. So i found these guys who advertise refurbished heads with a trade in of the old ones. Is this worth it costs wise and has anyone heard of these guys ? £350 a side for refurbed heads. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECONDITIONED-CYLINDER-HEAD-RHS-NISSAN-300ZX-3-0-V6-VG30DETT-1990-1996-R-40P/164658209965?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECONDITIONED-CYLINDER-HEAD-LHS-NISSAN-300ZX-3-0-V6-VG30DETT-1990-1996-L-40P/154342799911?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I would rather get replacements with warranty which these guys do than risk another failure because of a faulty cam.
  15. So i have broke the engine apart again ? And partially reassembled the heads ready to be sent to an engineer works to refurbish them. However one of the cams seems to be binding so i'm not trusting them at all now. The cam shafts have been stored in oil for the last few months and have only a small amount of surface oxidisation. When placing the cams back on the heads the interior right bank seems to jam up compared to the rest and i haven't even put the caps on yet. I would expect to be able to rotate a few mm which the other three do fine, also it seems to rock in position as if the middle section was higher seated.
  16. I removed mine because it felt like the back end was drifting out when turning. Wasn't a good feeling if your not used to it.
  17. Happy Birthday, hope its went good so far.
  18. Starting to get the nag to start on this long running project again. Most of the parts have been boxed up for over a year, and the likes of the crank which is fitted to the block along with the pistons will need dismantled again and checked over. When i last tried to get this going the crank started to bind so i stopped what i was doing to avoid risk of me screwing it up again. So this time i'm getting everything shipped down to Jimmer. The block is wrapped up in plastic but i need to get the crank checked so i'll need to dismantle everything again this weekend. More updates then.
  19. My zed is a 96 and I can confirm it's a one piece actuator that just unplugs. Unless the previous owner snipped the cables it should just be a matter of plugging it back in. Although for it to work properly the sensor in the steering wheel still needs to be operational too.
  20. Every zed i've owned has had a K&N in it, and the present zed has two !
  21. Map Updated with the latest stats.
  22. So looks like a menu link cant also be a menu dropdown on the mobile version. So i have split the gallery and competition sections up.
  23. Strange one but i noticed that too last night, seems an issue with the theme we are using.
