  1. Time to strip the steering column cowl and see if you can disconnect the ignition. Depending on the series there is a few designs of ignition, hopefully you get lucky and its just a plugin job Series 1 i believe was hard soldered, below picture is from series 2 and 3/4, white plug is from a series 3/4 and the black was a series 2 that i assisted in breaking. Start the zed pull the plug and see if it stays on.
  2. Has it got an Alarm with a remote start feature ? Only 2 things i can think of that can interfere with the ignition are a Turbo Timer and Alarm.
  3. Yeh, Well the black pully that attaches to the water pump.
  4. Don't you hate it when you lose a part. mmm, whats missing :
  5. Central Locking : Yes (drivers door locks both sides) Remote central locking : No prior to 1994 series 3/4 Most original fobs have likely been lost too so lots of people fit after market toad alarms or other devices.
  6. New Oil Cooler fitted.
  7. Not 100% sure what model they are but these are the markings on them :
  8. It can, but easier doing it now when the engine is out. I had to remove the air con condenser unit under the dash to get the old loom out. This would be tricky on most zeds as you need to degass the air con.
  9. Lastly started to fit the new engine loom and get it seated nice. I like how it has updated sensor plugs included, below is the IAT sensor.
  10. Also time to swap out the old oil cooler for a new, don't trust the old one as it was part of the blown engine. The one on the left is the new unit.
  11. Water pipes now done, had to wait for new hose to arrive before i got this done. Feel free to do a sanity check on this setup to ensure its done right !
  12. Yes, Already have those to fit, i also had new fittings welded to the exhaust but the guy i used put them in the wrong place. I've been told factory downpipe location is too close and can lead to early failure of the senors.
  13. Interesting facts about the Pro version of this loom; they have moved the PTU to the start of the loom; near the ECU end.
  14. that's a shame, did you mention on FB that it was sold to a guy in Scotland ?
  15. Use this one : https://www.facebook.com/groups/322337638339907 As i said there is a Page and a Group.
  16. The stands you build and awesome, the issue is the costs for power the NEC charges us.
  17. few new parts to fit in the next week or so; Starting off with new water pipes machines from aluminum. Then new linkage for the throttle bodies as the crumbled when i took them to bits. Lastly we have a new engine wiring and starter loom. Slight upgrade on the loom as this one was custom made and has extra connections for sensors and after market solenoids so they can be picked up by my Link G4.
  18. My zed spent its first night outside last night as i'm doing a bit of a refurb on my garage space. Fitting a new workbench made from solid oak, so to make room she was pushed out onto the stones.
  19. Should be dropping my engine in within the next few weeks so i'm fairly confident to get mine running soon, All i'm waiting for is the plenum and water pipes to be polished again. Plenty of time to know for sure so i'd like to put mine forward to be on the stand.
  20. Easiest way i guess would be to install an after market alarm that has an actuator, with the most common type being a toad Ai606. Fitted a toad to ever zed i have owned so far but they are also now discontinued.
  21. Hi, For some reason there was 2 subscriptions on your account, i have cancelled the other and manually set expiry of it to next year.
  22. I think i have a new set of these, same price if you want them.
  23. That's sick, should have put up a warning first. lol Road Kill☠️
  24. Coming together now. Just a few bits to get polished.
  25. Managed to find a guy in Glasgow who's going to do it all for me, drop it off to him in a weeks time. So back to twiddling my thumbs while we wait, could be another few weeks now. On the other side of the country concept are prepping a new order of a few things i'm missing.
