  1. We have spark ! 2023-07-29 15.18.16.mp4
  2. Just went for the larger capacity of what i already had. Think i will need to modify the battery tray to get this fitted without it sliding about. In a past life i modified the battery loom and reversed the battery connections, makes for a simpler connection in my opinion.
  3. I think i need a new battery as the one i have doesnt seem to be holding the charge for all that long and i now believe that my spark issues and ecu resets are down to the voltage at crank dropping to low. What do you all recommend i should be looking out for and whats the largest battery dimensions that fit ?
  4. That's what i'm thinking too, although the ECU is a brand new Link G4+. I'll need to source a donor ecu as i no longer have one i can use.
  5. That's what I'm trying to figure out.
  6. Looks like my zed has no spark and that's why it wont start. I think I've tested correctly but to be honest not even sure on that at the moment. After removing a coil-pack along with its associated spark plug i held it against the plenum to check for spark and get nothing. Tried with a few other coil packs and get no spark from them either. Its a brand new loom so was thinking i've missed something or maybe i've a blown PTU, Relay or fuse.
  7. Great to see another project on its journey, look forward to reading up on whats done.
  8. We all had a group buy for interiors with Simon a few years back, some of us waited so long and if you were lucky enough to get done then it was a great buy with quality workmanship. The rest either cancelled or gave up with him. I'm a lucky one and he redone my full interior too in black leather and original alcantara.
  9. If your running a Link G4 whats the chances of sending me a copy of the map so i can copy the base settings !
  10. Managed to submit 49 images and 30 or so receipts to Lancaster to try get my agreed valuation. Also booked the zed for the 8th August into its mapping session.
  11. Yeh, thats the connector for the AC compressor, if there is a big void under that side of the engine thats whats missing.
  12. My tuner said we need to get it started on the base map last time before i took it up to him. Its a big expense to get it trailer'd up just for me to bring it back. I've swapped out the oil just incase but as the turbo seal seems to be leaking i may need to pull the turbo now.
  13. The engine itself is fine, cranks over without issue. I think the issue now is down to the link ecu.
  14. Let the oil out and it stinks of fuel; so going to let it drip out for the next few hours. The oil its self isn't discolored or thinned out just got a smell of petrol to it. Next job is to test every coil pack to ensure they are firing properly.
  15. Now question is I'm scared of turbo failure because of washed down oil, should I be changing the oil now. I also need to test the spark on the left side of the engine, or would it be right side.
  16. Latest troubles. I think one side of the engine isn't firing and then it fuel locks - just a guess. I saw an oil leak on the passenger side turbo as well as a smell of fuel. So I disconnected the test pipes and I would say half a pint of fuel poured out the exhaust. Done the same to the driver side and it was bone dry.
