  1. Sounds a lot louder than lifters. I had noisy lifters prior to the rebuild and this is a lot louder.
  2. Should I be worried about that top end knocking ? As I am and without an explanation I don't really want to drive it to the MOT station never mind JAE.
  3. Hopefully this is just a loose bolt as everything is brand new.
  4. My wife recorded this small video which lets you hear the engine, can you also hear the scoosh after I take the foot off the accelerator ? Is this a boost leak ? [video=youtube_share;bkOn4eTOecs]
  5. about £200 all in with a new boss
  6. Offloading the zed into my driveway.
  7. However with good news always comes bad :( When I was revving the engine to get it on the trailer and keep it out the bite point, having no brakes n all. I could hear a top end knocking which I haven't heard before. What does everybody think of this ? [video=youtube_share;NJxJIIbySYU]
  8. So the zed is finally home from her trip to my lockup. Its been exactly 1 year since it was dropped off after the paint refresh so its been a long time coming.
  9. Yeh, Ordered it about an hour ago and its already packed up and shipped.
  10. So just ordered my new wheel and sold the old one. Happy days :)
  11. Now that i'm after a new momo this is now provisionally up for sale. Looking for £85 posted. And its only provisionally selling as I cant post it until I've ordered and fitted the new one.
  12. Happy Birthday buddy.
  13. I personally dont beleieve my oem guage so i have added an other sender and a digital guage.
  14. And you have checked the levels and also checked for leaks ? Also worth to check the plug for the oil pressure sender is properly attached and clean.
  15. After looking at that pic again I may be able to cut the harness where the damage is and then repair it from there.
  16. yeh, but I don't know how bad the damage is ! It could have messed up my speed sensor too. The cable has touched the exhaust and melted, I was hoping it was just one core of the cable exposed but it obviously more than that.
  17. Looks like my partially damaged cable going to the gear box is the fault. The fuse was blown and soon as I put another in it blew that too. So question now is how easy is it to get that loom out without dropping the gearbox ?
  18. So they share the same fuse; as my cruise also seems to be off too. Jeff to the rescue :)
  19. yeh, Got a bit to do still, but hopefully i'm getting the zed moved tonight back home. Should be working on my rear brakes tonight. Lee
  20. Glad a could help explaining it cos I thought I was partially talking rubbish. Lol
  21. MOT now booked for next Monday at 1PM :)
  22. Yeh, I've seen that. I have the correct pins and the cable to the gearbox is from wiring specialists so its a proper cable rather than me splicing up a custom job. Also if there was an issue in that cable I should still be able to turn them on at that plug.
  23. Would it be anything to do with equalising pressure on the side of the engine that has the turbo / wastgate. The engine is basically two engines bolted together and connected via the balance bar. Is it a safety feature as what would happen if the left side of the balance bar lost pressure or got blocked. Or am I talking rubbish ?
  24. hopefully getting the zed trailered home tomorrow from my garage so that gives me more time to work on her after work.
