MOT - First in three years.
I'll do a full video tonight and its booked in for an independant mot in troon tomorrow. This time i wont mention anything before hand and see what they say. Apart from the engine there is 4 faults which i can fix today and tomorrow. Slight play in both rear wheel bearings, front left camber needs fixed. Thats it.

headlight reflectors
Daft question likely but what happens if I want replacement headlights on my lambo ? :whistling: Don't they use the same lights just rebadged.

MOT - First in three years.
All they said was it sounds like a bottom end issue like the crank / shells. But they said I shouldn't be driving it as it may cause more damage. Also said that it had low oil pressure, but after I checked the manual I think that's ok for idle. I'm going to wire up my aftermarket gauges tonight to get a proper digital reading.

headlight reflectors
True, but in this case he's needing to split them anyways to replace or fix the reflector parts. My reflectors have got that cracked look and if you look closely at them it resembles the hexagons from a bee hive.

MOT - First in three years.
Currently gathering quotes to get the zed picked up and trailered to Lee's. Best one so far is £372 Also had a lengthy chat with Lee so nothing between us is on bad terms and the plan is to get the zed to him asap then we can go from there. With the other issues reported they are easy fixes. I checked the top camber arm last night and it turns out its just the adjustable bolt that's loose, although I took the full bloody thing off before noticing and now I cant get it to line up properly to fit the bugger back on. With the wheel bearings Lee also suggested they don't often fail and they are on a spline and more than likely the bolt is loose; well then I remembered two years ago I had the full back end off when I fitted my Driftworks kit and I never torqued up the bolts so they likely are slack. The side indicator on the drivers side was just a loose bulb which was working the night before which was fixed onsite. I also discovered that both my alloys are slightly buckled so I now also have an excuse to get new ones. :) Small problems that can be fixed and i'll update on the engine tonight when I take a proper running video.

Just buy brand new lights from zcentre, and swap over the light mask from your current set and hey its now eu ! I've asked luke about this before and he thinks that the best way. Far as I know the metal mask in front of the lense is the only difference between US and EU.

MOT - First in three years.
ok, So the end of it is my zed for the 3rd year running now won't make it to JAE. The smaller issues I likely can get resolved fairly quickly but the engine is another story. The plan now is to trailer it from Troon to Shrewsbury which is about a 4.5 hour trip give or take. So i'm now after any contacts who have a trailer that I can move the zed. I have one from the local garage but I think I need a special license to use it which I don't have. So if anyone know of somebody available with a low loader let me know.

That's not the test centre, that's just doing a few fixes prior to going to the test centre. They cancelled the test due to the fact it wont pass as is and not enough time to fix it all. I will need to get the problems fixed and do it again.

Now they are saying that they saw blue smoke but its been white when i drove it. Other things were a few brake hoses were lose but i expected that as i just changed them over, thats now tightened. Heres the list when they phoned, most easily fixed apart from the engine knocking. -- Offside near wheel bearing has play on it -- Near side rear wheel bearing has play on it -- Near side front top wishbone has exesive play. -- Exhuast centre section is insecure - hangers missing -- Drivers side - side repeaters not working - (was working last night)

New Parts
As Mondo says, if you have a large order then Concept in the states are good, but i have used all four and they are equally good. The benifits of local supplies are they may hold the part in stock, otherwise its about three weeks from Japan. Likes of concept and z1 hold bigger stock and ETA from the states is only about a week.

So on the way to the MOT and I notice the speedo doesn't work. Not that i'm bothered but another thing I need to fix before JAE. Just wondering if its anything to do with the reverse lights shorting out too.

The rebuild is complete and its MOT time. Driving to the garage that done the respray at about 8AM tomorrow for a quick check over then they will take it to the MOT station for a 1:30PM test. Nervous as hell about it so hope all goes well. The only issue I can foresee is that its a 1996 and I decatted it but I'll just say it was a 1992 and it was imported in 1996 or something.

JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
On the rears the fitment was a lot simpler but as you likely can see the bracket at the back is actually upside down, I did this as the length of the new hose was too long and the positioning of the clamp made the hose nearly kink and I found this to be a better fit.

JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
What a hell of a day. So with the help of a friend all my callipers and brake pipes have now been fitted if what a bit incorrectly on the rears. I lost one of the brackets for the front right and ended up fitting everything without them as shown : The good news is the wife found the bracket 10 minutes before packing up for the night so I plan to have another bash at fitting them and bleeding the brakes again. After fitting everything and following a guide on the order of bleed the pedal still feels very soft. My zed has abs but I cant find any bleed nipples on it so how do I get the remaining air out if all the brake lines to the wheels seem to have solid clear fluid in them ? Also had issues with the small C clamps in that they are too large for my hoses so I've had to use tie wraps to secure them at the top.

Nice, Was looking at the 19" as my tyres are brand new. If I can get them to fit I would go for 10.5 on the back and 9.5 on the fronts. Cant mind the spec of the tyres I have at the moment so have to wait till I get home tonight.

Your birthday, do what needs must !!

JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
Would likely cost in the region of £1300 so cant get them at the moment. The only issue apart from funds is working out the offset as the current alloys don't have any markings on them. I think I'm currently running on 19x245x35 and I also think the rims are 9.5.

Now I don't want to get Si worked up too much but thinking about getting these. And here's a quick photoshop to show what they would be like.
