  1. Going for replacement callipers from banzai for now. Any ideas where to get a rear seal and piston kit ? Don't seem to see any on ebay.
  2. Need to buy a few of these in various sizes to replace worn / broken and missing ones from various panels. Anyone actually know what they are called so I can do an ebay search on them ?
  3. never thought about that so may buy the ones pete mentioned for now.
  4. great but just paid £200 for all new discs and pads. :(
  5. Just standard Nissan ones.
  6. As much as I want a big brake set I simply cant afford it unless a sub £500 set comes up which I doubt will happen. I don't have the experience or the time at the moment and looking at my broken caliper it looks trashed.
  7. Been quoted £400 to get my calipers refurbished. Stripped down, new pistons, seals and then painted. The garage are friends of mine so getting discount but wondered if that is a good deal ?
  8. Theres a huge list of things still needing done by slowly it is getting smaller day by day. As long as the weather holds out i'll be putting in a few hours at night after works over the next week. Heres a few pictures before she was pushed back in to sleep.
  9. What a day its been, started off bad with the brake pipe mishap but things went great for the rest of the day. Completed the fuel rail pipe system, fitted the bumper support bar and then popped the bumper back on followed by new signal looms and fitted the front fogs and indicators. Repositioned the clips for the polished pipes so not as much of the bolts heads show and they don't block the bonnet from closing properly. Fitted the battery and setup the new loom ready to be crimped later on in the week. Also fitted the front water pipes and viscous fan again
  10. So the question is, is the zcentre kit i see the only thing i need to fix this mess? Or do i need to order new copper bits too which was what snapped?
  11. Well looks like another shite day. Bought a caliper compressor tool which was totally wrong and in attempts to makeshift sone way to push the calipers back in to fit the new pads i dropped the whole bloody thing and it snapped the brake line.
  12. I'm planning to make a new battery loom or at least replace the top half for new and I need to connect the old and new looms together with crimped butt joints. Anyone have any experience with this ? I've looked on the old ebay and say the following tool and also saw a video of it in use so I know it should work but not sure how to measure the wire and get the crimps needed. Does any one know the sizes of the battery cable, is it 16mm and 10mm ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311393601814
  13. The bolts go all the way through the wall so the wall will come down first. But thanks for the suggestion.
  14. its not a steep hill or anything just very rough ground which makes it hard to push the zed on.
  15. so after 4 hours of pouring rain and after 7pm the sun came out again so I decided to head back to the garage and do some more work. Good progress this time as managed to fit the new purple side pipes the my new z1 polished pipes :
  16. 30 minutes later I manged to get back out and secure the wheel after which the wife showed up to help push the zed safely back in the garage. One of the bad points until now is that when working on my zed I always need two folks to get her back inside as the bugger is just far too heavy. But today was the last straw so I bought a ratchet strap to help pull it back and secured it with some bolts on the garage wall.
  17. What a hell of a day; as the west cost just had what seemed like 4 seasons in a few hours. Started off nice and sunny this morning and I decided to start changing over my new brake disks only for it to start puring down followed by a few thrashes of thunder too. In less than 15 minutes it went from blue skys to dark grey clouds and no sun to be seen anywhere. Caught off guard my zed what jacked up; wheel off and tools scattered all about the street. I threw what I could into the zed then hid for cover :
  18. ha ha, maybe Andys But mine was imported from the states and has a Nissan stamp on it.
  19. yeh, Seems every second version is pish, although 8.1 which should be technically windows 9 was a much improvement and I've been running that since its release. I also liked the full screen tiles of 8.1 but now i'm running 10 I actually really like it more.
  20. yeh, :) Lid seems to be off center which is weird. And its more of an unfinished aluminium rather than green.
