  1. I would have put my own sob story up but its the wrong colour scheme for what i'm doing. Good luck with your selection.
  2. Started on the tailgate by taking the spoiler off and also worked on the glass to get that out. Only managed to carefully cut three sides but i'm stuck on the top section and I think I may need to cut through the plastic retainer clips to get it off without force.
  3. Front glass out and bonding areas cleaned up with a wire brush. The bare metal will be primed again shortly to protect it.
  4. The side outer trims can be kept if you remove them carefully but you will need new retainers which are glued in to the sides of the metal of the left and right sides of the front windscreen. For the back likely replace all the trims unless you can figure how to get the glass out without damaging anything.
  5. Happy Birthday.
  6. And the picture below that I have an original print off
  7. I know, and it's a late series shortie, so more likely 94 onwards.
  8. Just not long back from an evening at Turnberry which hosted this year's chamber business awards. As well as being an annual event this year marked 70 years of the organisation. So as a platinum event the local secondary school put together slides of each decade showing technology, buildings, fashion and transportation. During the 80's section this pops up
  9. Taking on the tailgate glass tomorrow. After salvaging the old tailgate from my breaker last year I need to get the glass out again. Already pulled the rubbers off but need to get the glass out without it shattering.
  10. Front screen now out, took me an hour but managed it with a cheap ebay kit.
  11. mmm, notification on my phone saying its out for delivery. Wonder what it could be ?
  12. Stole it off bob who stole it off madmax who bought it new from the states. Was nearly a year ago but i kept it to myself. :)
  13. Yeh, And just seen those turbo's that Richie has.
  14. That's just the dialog, upload them, then do it again before submitting the post.
  15. It was actually set to 15 but the attachment upload feature was limiting it to 5
  16. Still slowly working on the zed and prepping it for its respray :) But as the zeds been off the road I've been stockpiling a few parts over the last year that the list has a few goodies on it. New 19" Works Emotion Deep Dish Alloys and Michelin tyres. 98 Spec Manual gearbox with less than a 1000 miles or so on the clock. MeistreR Coilovers. A whole load of Driftworks gear. Full Set of KSport 8Pot breaks for the front and also the back (near new these are). All the new rubbers, trims and fitting from my old zed. New viscous fan that I never got to fit to my old zed. So anxious to start fitting everything but I must resist and await the respray.
  17. Updated to 10 :gunsmilie:
  18. o yes; that too :) I tend to forget about the niceties.
  19. trace it back to the bulb and check the colour of it.
  20. Its automatic buddy and I can see your already lit up green again :)
  21. I know exactly what you mean, and ive got led's for my reverse and fog lights. zedwizz made them for me about 4 years ago so the colours are even and inline with the other lights. So when my rear fogs are on its both upper sides are lit.
  22. I think its fine for the MOT using the front fog switch to power up both, I've seen many a post recommending doing it that way. Personally I prefer a separate switch and the small round ones shown above can be put on the inside of the pod and is fairly hidden. The switch can be hidden out of site as long as at test time you inform the tester where it is and that its is still illuminated.
  23. The switch has to be illuminated and the easiest way is to tap into the side lights power feed on the right pod. Run a live wire to the rear and up to the right side reverse light as above, use a separate bulb hold or cut off the one that's there and ground one side to the chassis. Get a fog switch like below and you need connect the live from the side light to one prong, a feed to the actual bulb and ground the last; that way when the switch is on the light illuminates too.
  24. As above, If the casing is the same just swap them over.
