  1. a bit of broken polystyrene pressed into semi wet filler will give a pretty good match to the stone chip on the sills . then a little spin around a muddy field should finish off the blending effect .
  2. after going to the zedworld bash saturday i must say it was nice to meet and talk with fellow members . it would be nice if someone in the know could tag the pics taken naming members and their cars . so much nicer chatting on the forum when you can put a face and car to the user name on the site .
  3. certainly would be nice to go with the targas off. well done all at b46 . top meet
  4. a big thankyou to jeff linda and family for organising a great bash at zedworld today . great cars , superb hospitality and plenty of really friendly folk . also a big thankyou to craig for the water pipes .
  5. sounds a bloody good idea that . a bit like ask jeeves .
  6. old fuel in the tank could be causing issues
  7. if you drop to much with your old shocks you will get bottoming out problems or maybe hitting your arches due to worn shocks. you really need to upgrade your shocks along with the springs to avoid any issues . a very popular combination is eibach springs and agx shocks . not cheap but a massive difference in ride and handling . i was lucky enough to pick up the above combination from jefftt and am very pleased with the results . the stance of the car now looks spot on
  8. i saw a story on central news tonight reporting the regions 304 speed cameras were to be turned off as the local authorities couldnt afford the costs of running them . the date given for the turn off , APRIL 1st . I might be being a bit suspitious here but i can just imagine a load of £60 fines landing on doorsteps a week later with bloody april fool stamped on top of the fine .
  9. hehe , dont worry matey your willy warmer is still with jeff . lol
  10. it will be a main dealer and chassis number im afraid . inevitably after hes bought the new one the old one will appear rolling round the boot
  11. they are all pretty easy . the worst one regarding hidden screws/fixings is the small one which butts up to the passenger door . the glovebox has to be removed before this one can be taken off
  12. be very handy in the summer as well . nice cool breeze aimed up your shorts
  13. is that from a breaker jeff . if it is and its available can i have please
  14. as with anything like this if it is ever made available the government ,whoever it is at the time would tax it to the limit to take all the benefits away from us . more likely the major oil producers would buy the idea for an obscene amount of money and shelve it to protect their industry . this happened a few years back when a new type of battery was created that massively outlasted the life span of normal batteries . the technology was bought and shelved .
  15. to a true zed enthusiast our cars are priceless . i think some of the main reasons for our cars being valued lower than we would like apart from the obvious running and maintenance costs are the amount of other high performance cars available nowadays . the likes of subarus and evo,s to name just two . things of beauty they arnt but for someone who just wants the thrill of a fast car they are cheap options compared to a zed. when you consider every £ we spend on our cars basically adds about 20p to the value then only someone who actually loves the car would spend the money. myself personally i love my zed and therefore dont count the money thats been spent . i,d probably shite myself if i worked it out but then again when a complete stranger stops you and comments what a beautifull car you have it makes it all worth while . long live the zed and if anyone wants mine its priceless and not for sale
  16. a good socket , strong wrench and a scaffold tube is what you need . apply plenty of bad language and it will come off
  17. you buy it and i,ll swap you my auto for it
  18. jefftt is online . put a post up for his attention . sure he can and will advise you
  19. i would have had that if it was silver . never mind
  20. POLISHED for sure . mine need a good polish at the moment and it just takes the whole edge of the car with the wheels dull
  21. ideally the rears should be 35 to be flush . the fronts will be flush with an ET20 or sitting in 15mm with the ET35.
  22. welcome to the madhouse . regarding your mods make sure everything thats standard is working well first . brakes , suspension , tyres etc . then go gradually with the engine .
  23. congrats to all . i must say having been at the birth of my two its the most scary thing ive ever saw as well as the most amazing .
  24. the way to test your fan is to disconnect one of the wires with the ignition on . the fan should start . if it dosent check the auxillary fan relay is in place in the engine bay main fuse box . these are sometimes used for the headlights as its the same relay . often they are missing .
  25. all i would do to that would be to cover all the sound matting with a nice piece of matting or leather .
