  2. its a common fault on zeds unfortunately . check the hoses under the fluid pot . they tend to leak from the join between the rubber and metal . if that ends ok it will be the other end of the pipe for sure. common fault . jefftt at zedworld has these pipes made up .

  7. i asked a similar question a while back on here . you would think that there must be a record of numbers of tax reminders sent out on computer .
  8. my ex wife tried to sting me after my lottery win . caused loads of hassle but i stuck to my guns and told her where to go . i kept the whole £10 to myself

  13. just a thought on this graham . would it be better/stronger to get a plate say 6inch by 3inch and weld a nut to this and then fix this to the pillar . cut out the original hole so the nut will sit inside . this way you could get a larger area of weld for strength . just for good measure you could fire a load of rivets around it too . i was faced with this problem myself but decided to stick with the jap belts to save all the hassle as my weldings about as good as peter crouch doing limbo. andy
  14. harrison couldnt win a fight down my local . and we,re a bunch of old gits

  18. i can see a pettern here . to keep the zed from being broke you have to brake yourself . the joys of ownership
  19. theres probably only 2 zeds on here that arnt at least 10% broke . as for mods not owning zeds and so on , theres lots of threads on here where people come on and ask for advice before buying and never heard any of them banning non owners from giving advice . keep up the good work guys and feel free to offer me advice / help whether you have a zed or not. andy ps. i know kim hasnt got a zed but he knows how to give his time up to keep us owners happy and full up
  20. i just got hold of another air con ecu . the new one is supposed to be from a series 2 with directional air flow control . is there a different code number on these compared to the series 1 so that i can check before install . if there is any idea what the code for series 2 is . cheers andy
  21. on an 8.5 inch front with an offset of 32 they will sit inside your arches by approx 12mm. if you want to bring them out to near flush a 10mm spacer would be ideal . a 5mm spacer will have them sitting just inside the arch . this will also give you more of an option with tyre sizes .
  22. im sure the new fair lady is gonna get plenty of spoiling from jeff , jamie and linda.
  23. its not a magical cure but it sure helps . well worth applying after each wash

  25. lifter rattle is quite common on zeds . now you have given it an oil change it should hopefully clear after a bit of running . what oil have you used ? 5/40 is a good oil to use , nice and thin so will help with the noisy lifter . you can also add a lifter treatment that will help further .
