  1. that looks a serious install . be a right pain in the arse if you needed your spare though . lol
  2. i got caught out yesterday . plenty of sideward action without much loud pedal action . new boots here we come .
  3. ye i saw that one on there . a tad optimistic on the price me thinks
  4. yes mate i,ll be there . still fiddling with mine but getting there . the thing with zeds is the shape and lack of internal air space which is needed to feed the speekers . often the best way to go is to tone down the system to allow it to work properly . for example , smaller subs work more efficently and therefor produce better sound in the tight space . its all trial and error but would be glad to have a look daffy . also speekers need to be run for a while to condition the rubber before final adjustments . andy
  5. i will sort one out for you
  6. if you are going to the zedworld bash have a look at mine and see what you think
  7. the only way to go mate is H.I.D . around £40 for the complete kit . go for 6000k as these give the best light without tinting blue
  8. i recently bought an 02 sensor socket and it was next to useless to be honest . theres not enough of the nut showing to get a good bite on it . as mentioned above , break off the old ones with a metal bar and use a normal 22mm socket . the new ones havent gotta go back in that tight so just nip them up with a spanner. inportant point when removing the old ones is to spray them up with wd40 and work them back and fourth to protect the threads . this bit of advice came from the zedworld guys so well worth taking note of.
  9. i,ll be there . looking forward to seeing everyone
  10. theres some good leather covers available from the states . only about £200-250 i think . some of the members on here have used them and the result is really good . as for the door cards and panels lots have gone down the D.I.Y route and if you are prepared to put the hours in the results can look amazing . if you do the work yourself £300 should give you a bespoke interior . theres lots of threads on here to look at offering advice on how to and how not to from members who have done recovers . well worth a look. good luck with it and hope it turns out as good as some of the others on here. andy
  11. the only other person ive let drive my zed since ive owned her is jefftt . i reckon he might just about be experienced enough with a zed . joking aside its nice to see and hear your car coming down the road . you get to see and hear them in all their glory
  12. my hands growing . im gonna try looking at summat else. hehe
  13. cheers graham for that . i didnt realise there was a time control unit in the car . where abouts is it located and better still have you got a pic of one . dont want to start wrenching at the wrong thing.lol
  14. cheers graham . that will save a load of time with the test lamp . due to there being a relay for the rear defogger should it be a timed push on the button . i had this on previous cars where the defogger stayed on for 10 mins then cut off . the reason i ask is mine stays on indefinately
  15. the later ones are heated . early ones need a mod . its quite a simple and worthwhile mod to do . a bit fidly but only about 30 mins per mirror .
  16. im currently in the process of upgrading jap mirrors to take uk heated glass . ive put in all the additional cable through the jap motors and fitted the new heated units . my initial intention was to route the new cabling to the rear of the rear window defrost switch and splice in so that they operate with the rear window . my query is , is there a live feed already in the door lume that is activated by the rear window defrost button . ideally this is the best option for connection . alternately does anyone know the colour of the cable feeding the rear heated window and the route it takes to the back from the front . just trying to save a bit of time digging around under the carpet . cheers andy
  17. thats a nice collection of cars there matey . i know which keys i would be picking up first though . zeds still look so current and desirable .
  18. that looks stunning mate , loving the nose and bonnet. top work all round
  19. mine used to reset itself every time i turned the car on . i dont know if its connected in any way or whether it was just a bit of luck but my interior light had a blown bulb . i replaced the bulb and the clock started working as it should .
  20. cant make my mind up about it . i think if you lost the black at the front it would look a lot better
  21. you can have wheels belted to increase the size of the rim but to be honest im not sure whether you would be better off just fitting spacers or just getting another set of wider alloys
  22. agree with you rich . we turn em on and turn em off as we need them . if it wasnt for the mot test most of us wouldnt have fog lights at all seeing as most zeds are import . as regards to having front fogs on and not rear fogs and the recommend reading material being suggested . no comment
