  1. its a common fault with the power steering leaking fluid . i know from experience . jeff at zedworld gets these pipes remade . iirc its about £130 ish for parts and labour although im sure he would post you the pipe if you fancied having a go yourself at changing it
  2. anybody know which fuse protects the rear washer . ive got no power at the washer pump . just wondering if there is a fuse for this circuit or whether it could be a fault with the mist switch on the pod
  3. here you go mate . pic showing shock plate and spacers made from cat exhaust gasket . the gasket is available from most decent car spares shops . i got a piece measuring about 18 inches x 12 inches for about a fiver . easily big enough to make 6 spacers . used tin snips and a cup cutter . beware of the edges as its like razor blades when you cut it
  4. i got extra spacers and had the centres bored out about 10mm extra and used cat exhaust gasket to place between the spacers to give a good solid plate
  5. the plates sit on top of the shock between shock and arch . i dropped mine a while back but tomorrow im going to be lifting it up about 7mm on the front with 2 extra plates on both sides . these had to be modified because they will not sit one on top of the other due to their shape . ive also got longer studs for my shocks to allow for this .
  6. the same thought crossed my mind daz .
  7. while driving along today i went past a blue targa panel from a zed . any body missing one
  8. i agree 933 miles in a year is too low . this last year ive spent endless hours fiddling and fettling with it and hardly any time driving her . shes gonna get used a lot more this year hopefully
  9. hes a mate and i threatened to shoot his dog
  10. after forgetting my mot was due last week i had the pleasure today of getting a phone call from the tester to say the car had gone through with flying colours . thats 2 years running now shes gone straight through . not bad for a 21 year old supercar . the thing that surprised me most was the emissions result CO% 0.823 HC 146 these seem really low to me . a lot lower than last year . i did put new O2 sensors in a while back . would these be the reason for the low readings ive just checked the old mot for the mileage and shes only done 933 miles in the last 12 months
  11. thats a very nice gesture from that fella and a lovely looking piece of glass ware . going that extra mile to help someone as the zedworld crew do reguarly certainly makes ownership a damn site easier . well done guys
  12. ive got zedwizz ,s leds in mine . both fog and reverse . couldnt recommend them enough . top kit and really do the job well . unlike others ive seen fitted ive put the fogs on the bottom behind the clear lenses to avoid dulling the red bulbs and giving a pinkish tinge .
  13. i personally would like to see whats left of his head . how come the yanks havent showed us the pictures of him . they couldnt wait to show us saddam when he was caught . shot in the head and buried at sea . call me a sceptic but i want to see the proof that hes dead . after all they told us 10 years ago they had killed him
  14. im going to be upgrading my main beam bulbs shortly . firstly im looking at up rating the bulbs to about 100 watts with a nice white light to match up with my HIDs . secondly im looking to do the mod that allows the full beam to flash whilst the HIDs stay on so as to avoid the warm up period with the HIDs on swap over . are there likely to be any issues with the wiring overloading with this set up . i know the full beams are only going to be illuminated for at most a couple of minutes at a time and mostly no more than a few seconds . just wondered if anybody else has a similar set up and whether you have put something like an in line fuse or similar to protect the wiring . if anyone could put up a link or an idiot proof guide to the extra earth thats needed from the relay box it would be much appreciated cheers andy
  15. big thanks to kim for all his past efforts and good luck to ian in his new role .
  16. yes its just the black part that im changing . wasnt sure if it had to slide into position or not hence whether the wheel had to come off or not .
  17. does the steering wheel have to come off to replace the stalk or can it be left on . cheers
  18. i bet hes never won a game of scrabble . plonker
  19. i used to work with this stuff many moons ago . it looks good daz but i think you are going to have issues with the heat warping the panels and blistering the coating on the back . also what tends to happen is a crazing effect from the edges . hopefully the quality of the materials has moved on in the last 20 years and you dont have these issues . be carefull how you clean it too mate as the surface is quite soft and prone to scratching. looks very nice though , well done . you really are turning that car into a show stopper
  20. try changing your socks
  21. if you cat is rattling its probably just the heat shield . just bend it down slightly and it should be ok
  22. you dont fill the expansion bottle . fill through the rad cap
  23. im pretty sure when i had a bouncing rev problem it was a dirty /sticky idle valve and dodgy injector connecters . cant be sure now but jeff and jamie soon got it sorted
  24. mine dont work with the key either . i thought it was only the original titanium key that opened the glove box and boot as a security measure . if im wrong on that one im out with the wd40 tomorrow
  25. can anyone with an apexi filter check the code on it please
