  1. type JAPANESE FUSEBOX TRANSLATION in the search box . there is a printable version there . hope this helps guys andy
  2. im looking for the pro,s and cons with polyurethane bushes over oem bushes .ive gotta replace the front anti-roll bar bushes to start with and have a good look at all others and replace as necessary . my way of thinking is nissan put rubber on them in the first place even though polyurethane was available when zeds were being made . mines only used on the road . have any of you guys had experience with new rubber bushes and polyurethane . im looking for a comparison between the two as im not too sure which way to go at the moment cheers guys andy
  3. like i said mate . the first check over is i think £30 + vat . they will give it a look over and advise you on future maintenance and give you a good guide as to what order things need doing . also with you first check up they let you watch what they are doing and talk you through the process . a very informative half hour chat . as with all zeds especially one that hasnt had up to date servicing there will almost certainly be a few adjustments to be made . its amazing the difference these little tweeks make . when i took mine i thought it was a very quick car but with issues . it turned out it was in safety boost . in other words it was restricted to 70% power . half hour later it was at 100% power , gear box was changing nice and smooth and my trousers had changed from light blue to dark brown by the time i got home . all this for £34 .
  4. i tend to apply plenty of bad language to stubborn nuts and bolts .
  5. that should be the NEW WORLD ORDER we all follow it whether we are white , black , brown , yellow , red or albino. problems solved worldwide . TIME FOR A BEER
  6. im pretty sure i gave him a quote for some biulding work a couple of years ago . i never got the job so i hope his roof blows off . lol
  7. as jefftt said . engine issues can effect the way the gearbox performs . he,s only up the road from you in tamworth . go and see him and jamie at zedworld . give them lads 30mins or so with your car and trust me your drive home will have you falling in love with your zed . their fee is about £30 for the inspection / adjustments . the best £30 you will spend . prior to my initial trip to see them i was convinced i,d made a mistake buying the car . the drive home afterwards convinced me it had been one of my better decisions . i know you said your mate was a zed expert but the only cars jeff and jamie work on are zeds . you couldnt be in better hands . all the members on here would say the same . good luck with you car and hopefully before too long all the little niggles will be resolved . andy
  8. could it be a failing fuel pump
  9. indicator fault could be a bulb . if one goes down the others will flash a lot quicker . for the passenger window fault . have you pressed the lock button on the drivers window switch panel . same thing happened to me but luckily jamiett was there to point out the obvious
  10. saw one on top gear . the aero goes from 50-70 in 2 seconds according to mr. clarkson .
  11. jeff , off topic i know but on that deluxe supersport model are the scuttle panels a reverse of normal .
  12. most special editions in sports cars have things removed . in other words they are put on diets . i,d remove all the nonsense from the car and probably lose 100kg or more . then give it a nice set of 18,s , big brakes and a revamped interior
  13. is the power button on . if its a jap car theres a switch on the box . for normal driving set the switch in the middle
  14. is yours is an auto ? auto,s are more prone to disc warpage due to owners sitting with their foot on the brake to stop the car creeping instead of using the park slot in the box thus keeping hot pads in one area of the disc .
  15. go down the classic car insurance route with limited milage . not many of us on here use zeds as dailies so its the way to go . go online with the price comparison sites to give yourself an idea . you will probably get a cheaper quote going fully comp . dont know why but it seems to work that way with zeds . good luck anyway
  16. welcome prince . just wait till you start buying parts in the uk . usually double what you can get bits for in the states . good choice on the tt by the way . lets see some pics
  17. my fronts are 8.5 with 35 offset . to bring flush they would need a 15mm spacer so ideally you want an 8.5 with a 20 offset . rears are 9.5 with 35 offset and they sit spot on flush . they are 18,s by the way
  18. my best advice would be forget the heat gun . stick it in the oven on gas mark 6 for about 10 mins lol
  19. what model clifford is it . ive got a cert for mine and im thinking photo copier
  20. it sucks the heated ABS down onto the mold .
  21. cheers boldy . i was thinking about trying to bend up a spanner to get to that nut . im gonna get one ordered pretty soon . another thought i had was maybe shortening the metal pipes and replacing with rubber hoses . andy
  22. i used to be a plastic fabricator many years ago . for ABS you need a vacuum former as allan said . perspex or acryllic to give it its proper name is not for moulding . it also scratches very easy and is brittle .
  23. absolutely tragic mate . it breaks your heart that a 20 year old super car ends life like this. i relly do hope the little scroats get caught . good luck with the claim
  24. first thing i,d check would be the plugs
  25. as above . only replace metal with metal .
