  1. ive worked on a few over the years . theres a lot of work and regulations to follow . depends very much on any listings placed on the biulding regarding materials etc to be used . if at all possible the cheapest way depending upon planning permission is to knock down and rebiuld . which ever way you go , good luck and advice is only a pm away
  2. mines suffering from fuel constapation . it can never pass a filling station
  3. alright chris . i use peanut oil on mine after every wash . brings the rubbers up a treat . it also helps to keep them supple . much better and cheaper than car shop stuff.
  4. newquay steam lager . if your an animal try the black bottles . proper good stuff
  5. cheers groover . now i know what im looking for cheers

  8. can anyone tell me what year the air con pod changed to allow for directional cooling control . and is the pod and ecu plug and play into a 1990 jap model or do any mods have to be done . do the pods look any different
  9. i suppose after this they will do something a bit safer like beating donkeys with sticks . as jim bowen used to say "YOU CANT BEAT A BIT OF BULLY"
  10. to be fair mate your cars always gonna be overheating with that chick in it
  11. would it not be possible to use a drivers electric rail on the passenger side?
  12. alright craig . its a beauty . i,d love it on mine but mines a 90 and i think the law is you cant have a plate which makes you car out to be younger than it is . so this ones gonna be for 95 or younger
  13. i saw a zed for sale today . the fellas not a member of this club . the car looked ok but the plate is superb . m 300tt the fella said he would sell the plate seperately and £250 would clinch it . if anybody is interested pm me and i will give you the fellas number . by the way the car didnt look too bad . £1500 but i reckon he would come down on that . i reckon a cheeky bid of £1200 might get it . its a 95 with full leather and is standard . the car is in the tamworth area
  14. how long does it take and how much would he charge . is it just a straight forward plug and play or would it need to go on the conzult afterwards for a few adjustments .
  15. yes i seen some advertised that look pretty good value .
  16. im toying with the idea of buying a new loom for the zed . the alternative is to replace the coil pack connectors and injector connectors and gradually work through the others . can the loom be replaced with the engine in or will it need to be pulled . if i can do it with the engine in then the new loom is gonna be the way to go . has anyone done this as any advice will be much appreciated . cheers in advance
  17. looks like theres about £60 worth of fuel in it aswell
  18. i used to work with a big fat guy called hugh janus
  19. theres a few threads on here at the mo about speakers . to get your speakers in you gotta take off the door cards . if you have a bose system box in the door scrap it and make up a panel with mdf to cover the hole left . this bit comes from experience . take the front section of the bose box off and refit , drop the window and measure the gap from the front of the panel to your glass . im sure i fitted 73mm deep speakers but cant be 100% . the deeper you can fit the better . 6.5 is the best choice and are a bit shallower than 6x9,s . to be honest there are nt any plug and play options for the front as the original boxes are a strange shape and size . its well worth the 2-3 hours as the improvement is immeasureable . as for the rears 6x9,s are too deep . 6.5 are again the way to go good luck with your build . if you have any probs pm me and i,ll try to help
  20. im just in the process of going through mine . small emery boards are good for the males. gonna give the vinegar trick a go aswell now .
  21. keep looking on ebay for a set of focal k1,s . will work superb in the back with a sub and for the front again go focal or audiobahn components . avoid entry level stuff . with focal look for polyglass . if you are sitting comfortably check out focal utopia . take a deep breath before you look at the price
  22. 6x9 are generally too deep . stick some really good quality 6.5 components in the front and some good quality 6.5 in the rear. avoid 6x9 as the sound they produce is inferior . the best ice upgrade you can do is a sub in the boot.
  23. what can you say . lets get all our heroes home and get all these families back together. i definately got red eyes after seeing this . lets all spare a thought and prayer for those poor families that cant do this . come on now mr. cameron and obama , lets have our boys and girls back NOW safe and sound .
  24. ive just recently done an upgrade in the front of mine . i will post up some pics soon . your best bet for speeker size is 6.5 round but they will need a bit of modding to fit in . my best advice for front speekers are either focal or audiobahn components . the most important factor is the depth of the speeker . take off you door panel and wind your window down and measure the gap . my mod will give you an extra 20mm or so . as a rule for speekers always spend 80% of your money for the front. good luck with your build .
  25. theres a set of 300 mirrors on fleabay at the moment with indicators built in . think they are gonna need a bit of modding to get them working though
