  1. thats the place i got mine from . just up the road from me .
  2. well thats the first time ive heard that one . do these people happen to sell these ecu,s by any chance . sounds like they might be trying to drum up business . im pretty sure jefftt will add his opinion / knowledge about this later.
  3. for that price best to LEAF well alone
  4. for the cost of a new bearing against a one piece prop its better to get the 1 piece .
  5. i think theres a guy on here who should call his HIROSHIMA or the EXON VALDESE any ideas who ?????? lol
  6. they certainly try your patience dont they . ive bit the bullet and booked her in at zedworld wednesday morning . if in doubt leave it to the gurus
  7. dress up like gary glitter . they,ll soon p1ss off when you answer the door
  8. ive been struggling with mine for a couple of days so at the moment her name wouldnt get past the sware filter
  9. cheers graham . i,ll have a look at that in the morn . a little tip from me is to make sure that clip dont come off during disassembly. theres a screw that holds the bracket on which holds the clip . i knocked mine off catching it with the screwdriver. go easy around this and you will save yourself the problems im having when you do yours . good luck and if you know a short skinny bloke with extra long thin arms hire him for the day.
  10. looking at that i,d say valve fully forward and about half inch gap from front of casing to clip . cheers graham i just know tomorrow is gonna be a long day
  11. theres nothing on the end of the cable graham . also the metal inside doesnt want to slide in the casing .
  12. many happy returns you old g+t .
  13. saffy its time to bite the bullet mate . i feel for you with your car but you have had the best advise available from the top guys . you could spend a fortune and hours upon hours of time trying to sort your engine . if your engine has gone and you want to keep going with your zed then you are better off taking up the offer of ian and spending a few quid on a decent engine and putting your money into that engine ironing out a couple of little problems . theres a lot of decent guys on here and they arnt gonna fob you off with dodgy stuff or advice . get yourself a new lump and enjoy the zed rather than spend a fortune trying to put right an engine thats had its day . these cars are to be enjoyed after all. andy
  14. i thought you had a lot of oil in no.6 . if you have oil in a cylinder then you are gonna get smoke as it burns off. pcv valves arnt gonna stop the dodgy cylinder . just trying to stop you throwing money on an engine thats seen better days
  15. cheers jeff . its all back together looking like that. on the end of the black cable casing where the clip goes , how much should the black casing go past the clip and where should the valve position be . the clip came off mine during the strip out so just fitted new matrix and clipped back up . is there a starting position , ie valve fully forward and half inch of black casing in front of clip (sort of thing).
  16. you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink
  17. try this miata.net
  18. fusebox on one side . fuel filter on the other . assuming you have done away with the oem airbox . it would be a handy location for future maintenance .
  19. im with you now . im gonna have another mess in the morning . i wish my arms were 2 foot longer and thin as pipe cleaners
  20. i,d be wary having the fuel filter too close to the fuse box just incase of a leak . would the nose cone be a better location for your fuel filter . im sure you could route the pipes under the wing .
  21. cable stroke ? not quite sure what you mean .
  22. would you be able to cut that section out along the red lines and replace with the same off your breaker . with that out the way it would let you into the other bits to tap out . looks like all of the outlined area is behind the bumper so any weld marks should be hidden . hope you are still all feeling ok now the adrenalin has wore off . theres parts of the A45 thats got grooves from lorry wheels . i wonder whether one of these unsettled the back end
  23. hello bud . yeah moves freely without the clip in place. im thinking that the higher you set the cabin temp the further the valve opens allowing more water through . at the moment though with the cable clipped in place its solid
