  2. however it's clear that the sender unit is beside the oil filter.... on my car its the other side of the engine !... http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.326 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.325
  3. yes... I'll see if i can find the link.... its to an Oz forum...
  4. Hi, i got a mate in the parts trade and he is looking into this for me... If you like i can let you know the outcome.
  5. is this it? http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=154&category_id=73&keyword=pod&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  6. Only wish I could afford another car (or fit another one on the drive)... then again I would most likely get another Z... I'm mostly on the motorway and I couldn't think of anything better to use there... :D
  7. Hi Mark... good thing to brows though is the FAQ Storage Area. heaps of info and also links to other sites. :)
  8. unless it's had a manual ecu put in it...
  9. lol... i can only say I think so.... but it certainly look like that connector with the big rubber cover for the bottom of the sender unit. so I assume yours is connected somewhere else then.
  10. Oh ,and that will make the car run bad if not connected.
  11. Mmmmm, looks to me like the connector to the oil pressure sender. mine is up under the passengers side turbo. easy to get to from under the car if jacked up.
  12. or if you did a search you would find heaps......... e.g. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=134084&referrerid=16305
  13. and a thumb.... not to mention the little cuts on the other two fingers... :D
  14. come on mate... you know everything in the US is bigger and better... those curbs are MASSIVE!!! LOL
  15. Hi and welcome, LOL... so since your main aim is to save money......... DON'T GET ANY PERFORMANCE CAR!!!! you've got more important things to worry about!!! If you get a cheap 300zx it will cost you lots in getting it to how you want it. even if you spend a fair amount to start with (like I did) you could still end up spending heaps on it, these cars aren't cheap and it's difficult to find a garage that knows them. (if you can't afford to keep an Astra you won't be able to afford to keep a 300). unless of course you happen to be very lucky.. its a bit of a lottery... my advice is get yourself a trusty cheap throw away car... and wait until you've got money to spend before you get a toy. good luck.
  16. it's a great feeling to have a nice looking car and have other people appreciate it.... I was on the M5 this morning at about 05:00... went past a convoy of nice looking MR2's that were obviously on their way to Jap fest.... smiles all round... :)
  17. just did... NICE!! :) cleaning the Z is quite enough for me .. lol...
  18. LOL... I think I hate you... :D ... I've only got the 300 ....
  19. yeah, magnificent beast!!! just how do you go about cleaning something that big? lol.. :D
  20. lots of people quote insurance prices and quite often it gets my hopes up ......... until I find out that they have some strange classic policy... can't drive after 13:47 pm or on public holidays or if humidity reaches 25.3 %... millage limits of 47.5 miles per year... AAAHhhhhhhhhh........ what if its an import, has some mods and you use your car as a daily drive and do over 15000 miles per year ? you know normal car stuff !!!! would be nice if people stated exactly what their insurance covers when stating a price. apologies if that seems a bit harsh...lol.. :)
  21. and check the fuses for the lights.... they cause funny problems... (i.e. not as expected).
  22. too right.... I'm tempted to email him .... lol... ebay z32 police... :D
  23. agreed... the center panel is defo not 99 spec... may have bought the light separate but can't tell form that pic... if they are 99 spec (just the lights) then its a good deal, even if they are DYI as long as they are good that's not a bad price... i remember paying £120 for my first set of DIY tails and they were crap!!! i had to redo them before i sold them on at a rather large loss... lol...
