  1. I don't think its fair to pre judge them unless you know they have a bad reputation. Positive action and attitude first and if that fails then start the negative attitude..:p... lol..
  2. where is the car now? have you touched the front wheel at all? I'd say leave it where it is and call them, speak to the manager, tell him exactly what happened and get him to tell you what they intend to so about it (in a nice way). if you have moved and or touched the wheel I hope you have pictures of the incident. Yes, I know, why would you lie but why should they believe you.
  3. Welcome and yes... photobucket or any other pic hosting site... :)
  4. i think I just saw it on this vid..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=153118&referrerid=16305 LOL... :p
  5. check the fuse for starters... have a look at the connector to make sure none of the wires are being pushed out the back of it.
  6. LOL... just another reason to hate the Murdocks........ Ha... F1 nearly as corrupt as the Indian crickets (and their neighbours)... :D
  7. not a bad guess at all...:) ta... yeah getting an answer form the company that makes them...
  8. yeah, i see, there is no reason why a piece of plastic pipe (like hep20) couldn't be used to stiffen the lead (cut down its length and taped on... I guess I could make one up and check it work... :)
  9. just rang Zedworld and they weighed one for me just now... 8Kg.. cheers guys....
  10. thanks... I got a cheap one off ebay but it's way too strong... I know the Z bonnet isn't too heavy but wanted to work out what force I need because the brackets I intend to use are only rated to 400N. anyway will post a pic when finished it it turns out any good...lol...
  11. well that was fast...lol... cheers... can anyone confirm... need it a bit more accurate than a guess.. not for postage, it's for gas lift mod and I want to work out the required force to hold it open..
  12. Hi, anyone have any idea what the 300's bonnet weighs? cheers.
  13. A guy I know is selling these (about £10 delivered) and they make it a hell of a lot easier to do the timing.... (if it isn't obvious) one end on to the plug and the other into the coil pack leaving room to connect the timing light (like an extension). they have tested them and they work well with coil packs and on modified engines. Call freephone number - 0800 0 23 44 23 or 01803-850050 (and ask for a spark plug tester lead).
  14. LOL.... my wife would kill me.... just cost me £270 at the workshop getting the vac leak fixed and welding up the front cross member.... :( but thanks for the offer.....
  15. OK... they will let me know when they have them (should be a couple of days)... I used the connector on the bottom of the unit that looks like the top part of a "T"
  16. yeah, did my first run up the motorway and it works fine.... I've already mentioned to the guys about getting some in stock.... they said OK... I'll bother them again today to see how they are getting on.
  17. no... it pushes on the ridge with the cut outs.... but it is a bit of a fiddle getting in to sit just right... have another look.........
  18. Yeah, you could, but how would you get it in there? for me tracing the sound worked fine... :)
  19. Mate, I agree 100%.... I'm looking at taking mine to dyno in Plymouth soon.. but it may have to be during the week as I'm working the next 5 weekends...
  20. LOL.. exactly the same as your's... you have to listen for air leaks.. I used a silicone hose to push down into areas I couldn't see or feel and put one end to my ear... pretty much pinpointed the area of the problem. i have heard people say about blowing a coloured gas into it or some kind of power that would stain around the leak BUT you still have to find it and not all places are visible.. Obviously if it's in an awkward place some dismantling is required but it does really help to narrow it down. :) Like I said I made two of these and I think I might sell the second one.
  21. yeah, i just heard it on the news.... sad for the family... I can't comment on Amy as i don't know her but obviously a tortured individual.. REP ....
  22. LOL.. cheers.... sick of getting beat by far inferior cars.... :) now with both turbos working.... look out Z4's...... lol..
  23. well i cant even remover how long its been and how many components I've change and checked...... (not to event mention the amount it's cost).. any way finally sorted out a vac tester unit, made a couple of these up: and low and behold, massive pressure loss.... one of the pipes form the intercooler direct on to the turbo had a big hole in it (could push my littler finger though it)... I'd already tightened all those pipes up but hadn't taken them off...D'Oh.... anyway one of the vac pipes also had a split in it, rubber melted close to the turbo.... anyway, car now has the power I remember.... very happy :) :D :)
  24. LOL.. as with almost anything OEM "kind of"... aside from he rubber boot not fitting snug... thread an size of the unit are the same but the connection has two prongs (not just one). I'm tempted to cut the wire and put a new female spade connector on it and remove the runner boot but it's working fine for now. so I took a guess and it worked, maybe I should have connected to the other one as well to test (you know confirm it's the wrong one). I'll take a pic of a new one (or do a diagram) and point out the connector I used. I'll also confirm stocks and availability with the guys and give you some contact details.
