  1. I think you have to read though the whole thread again.... there are two temp sender units on that pipe.... one for the ecu (two wires) and one for the dash gauge (one wire) ....
  2. you could always test it by putting a ohm meter on it and trying the connectors both ways around... :)
  3. they are both temp sensors... one for the ecu and the other for the temp gauge on the dash. as long as the original connector is there and hasn't been re-wired there is only one way it can go on.
  4. Nice!!!! :) good idea going on the inside... the tape i used (PIN STRIPE COACHLINE TAPE) still had bubbles under it and I couldn't get them out no matter what i did so I gave up. I guess i was being a bit picky but i wanted a really nice job.
  5. are you going to put the tape on the inside or the outside? as far as I'm aware you can get the tape from almost any car spares shop but you need it thin... I wasn't happy with the look of the tape on the inside of the lens, paint is a much better option but takes a lot more time and effort. I'm not exactly sure that trying to copy the 99 spec all the way is worth it... in the end they still won't be 99 spec and could just look nasty (not saying that you'll do a bad job). why not try and make them unique?
  6. now that is Hoff..ull .... I'll get my coat..... :D
  7. Mate, i think you are better off checking a few connectors for corrosion first rather than waiting for conszult and maybe not finding anything anyway!!! most of the connectors are easy to get off, a very small screwdriver will help to un-clip the wire fastener. i think you have to start getting your hands a bit dirty or it's going to cost you a fortune... LOL...
  8. have you tried pressurising the intake system? you can then listen for air leaks.. LOL.. just beat me.... good one... :)
  9. good luck... I'm, sure you won't need it....
  10. LOL.. depends on what it is..... try and stop it.... first thing is check oil levels.. remember these card don't have a massive amount of oil in the engines... i think it's only just over 3 litres... oil changes are important....
  11. I don't know if you are allowed to do that in the UK... it may not pass an MOT.
  12. Hey, just a note to say that if you do go for this one the total price of the unit is 1p and if it gets lost in post and you try to claim back from the post office they will reimburse you the 1p... they do NOT pay for postage. yes it has happened to me.... OK yes i know it is the seller you should claim, but if something is wrong with it and you send it back and it gets lost them you only paid 1p for it and that is all they will give you.
  13. and if you want one..... (mind that these aren't the Nissan ones but are a heap cheaper and work fine) in case you hadn't seen the post a week or so back, they have them is stock now... Oil Pressure unit rrp £34.99 delivered Conceptua tuning FREEPHONE 0800 0 23 44 23 http://www.conceptua-tuning.co.uk limited stock (2 so far)......
  14. LOL... hey Lisa.. lots of interest there..... I'll be there with a couple of mates... not sure if we'll eat and we'd prefer to stay in the sun (if there is any) there are plenty of tables outside (I don't suppose you have to book them, do you?) so depends on the weather if we go inside at all. :) so any idea of a time yet? I guess when the Cornish boys (Waz'on) can get there... :D
  15. Oh, and link to this though the FAQ's... http://www.ttzd.com/tech/colorstech.html
  16. should be on the vin plate
  17. Hi, well has Jeff will tell you there are so many things that can cause problems, he has many posts on here describing issues and fixes.... to start with you can check all the connections you can find, e.g. CAS, TPS, MAS, PTU, coilpacks..etc here are a couple of link to another side that describes some issues, checks and things to do. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.340 http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.335 http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=179&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=190 unfortunately Isle of Wight is a long way from Birmingham (Zedworld)...... so unless you can find someone good more locally and or you can't get it sorted I'd take it to them...
  18. the big one on the left is the sender to the ecu (has two wires) and the smaller one on the right is the temp sender to the gauge (one wire)...
  19. is this of any help.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=41352&referrerid=16305 at least you might be able to explain what one it is to us...
  20. did you check the top ones (camber arm) as well? when mine wore out it caused a similar vibration.... just a thought.. :)
  21. LOL... my mate tells me that after all the waiting & trouble getting hold of these units that they haven't had any calls about them at all.... they have two in stock and will most likely have another couple by the end of the week... as far as I know you can't get them cheaper than this anywhere!!! :) Oh and yes mine is still working fine.
