  1. LOL.. yes and they are breathing our oxygen!!!! not to mention that these people represent us overseas.... what must the rest of the world think... :) how about "Too many foreigners now live abroad"... class.... genius... he should be forced to breed!!!! NOT!!!!
  2. http://travel.aol.co.uk/2011/09/08/20-of-the-silliest-holiday-complaints-ever/?icid=maing-grid7|uk|dl7|sec1_lnk2|77534
  3. LOL.. that is the same pipe that was loose on mine..... not fully out but leaking... and yes, oil leaking on to the turbo and smell of burnt oil... Hey Jeff, did you replace the pipe or is there a fix for the old one?
  4. that isn't a problem.... you're sounds OK...
  5. LOL.. may work but not actually a fix!!! there could be a problem with your IAA then... but Spartan-117 should do the usual check all the connectors for corrosion and good contact and the other checks to rule out issues with those components...
  6. and the timing.... 15 degrees from TDC (for the tt, don't know about the na)

  8. for cheapest I'd say poly or OEM... depends on how much you can get them for....
  9. Agreed...air leaks are a killer..... then check the timing and all the obvious things...
  10. also... could we make a small donation to a charity of some sort.. i.e. heart foundation or cancer research..... :) would be a nice gesture....
  11. since the engine is out of the car it makes it a bit more difficult to check (from a running it point of view but not from a dismantling / rebuild point). if it was in the car I would have said check the pipe leading to the throttle body and the one from the turbo also the intercooler for oil.... that would either confirm or rule out a problem with the turbo. you can check the cold side of the turbo for oil.... you could however take off and check the pcv.... if it's OK you could reason that there is oil there because they didn't clean it after the pcv and turbo replacement. they say they have replaced things.... but really.. "they say that they have replaced things".... it's a lot easier to say than to do!!! lol... any receipts (not that they are 100% proof).... or as you suspect there is something wrong, since you can't start it up... I'm not positive but I think the only way from there is to start taking it apart and checking individual components.. could start with the turbo, then move on the plenum..etc...
  12. how was the engine transported? could it have got there then?
  13. have you checked the connection to the ecu... sometimes this will cause issues particularly if not connected evenly all the way along....
  14. Import or UK and how many miles a year will you be driving... both very important bits of info as lost of companies have mileage limits (e.g. Lynbrook) on classic insurance and others won't insure imports.
  15. if you give more specs on the car and your requirements maybe someone can help... i.e. JDM or UK, TT or NA, Manual or auto, mileage pa, you're age (about) :)
  16. hey... good luck.. :)
  17. LOL... I know the feeling well.... I replaced my CAS last night and will be testing the car out today....
  18. LOL.... well you can't get a cheaper fix than that!!! now you'll have to apologizes to it!!!! :)
  19. LOL.. I was just thinking the same thing.... surely everyone can't have gone to the show!!!
  20. sounds like you need a counsellor...Mmmmmmm put some candles out and sit down and have a little talk with her..... kidding aside, once she is running fine again you will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about..:) BUT... if you have fallen out of love.... well it might be time to part ways.... :(
  21. hey...bonus on the want add... :)
  22. good move.... I will be replacing my CAS over the weekend to try a fix a similar problem... if it makes no difference then I will assume my CAS is OK and I can post it to you.... but like i said I will have to confirm first and it won't be posted until Monday...
  23. LOL... now that will make a good add!!!!!
  24. silly question,,, but have you checked the oil level? may need a change (now that is a crap job).
