  1. i've got a set but haven't used them yet... got them after last winter.... by the way how much are they in ASDA?
  2. I thought they had to be hosted somewhere on the net... i.e. photobucket...
  3. yeah, it can be interpreted in different ways... 2. Position– (d) Minimum separation distance between a rear fog lamp and a stop lamp– A distance of 100 mm between the light-emitting surfaces of the lamps when viewed in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle it really depends on the definition of "light-emitting surfaces of the lamps" so as long as the test went along with it you could say it was bulb to bulb.
  4. LOL... no, you are right.... you can have as many as you like.... :)
  5. there currently isn't any tester involved.... these are the regs... So as you point out you can get away with stuff if the inspector gives it the OK.. BUT .... I was just pointing out what the regulations are... My take on it is do as much as you can to get as close to regs as possible to avoid disappointment... lol...
  6. Hi, but doesn't this part blow your theory? 10. Electrical connections: No rear fog lamp shall be fitted to any vehicle so that it can be illuminated by the application of any braking system on the vehicle or do you only have one break light bulb in each light?
  7. I'm sure you've been able to buy all kinds of shit off ebay for ages now!!! :D
  8. Here, here... :)
  9. Hi and welcome.... nice job...
  10. LOL... yeah that is Zedwizz this is his shop.... http://www.autoresto.co.uk/fog_led_300zx.html
  11. bit of bad news for this set up.... I found these regs for both EU & the UK... EU regs.. To provide some safeguard against rear fog lamps being confused with stop lamps, ECE R48 requires a separation of at least 10 cm between the closest illuminated edges of any stop lamp and any rear fog lamp. Uk regs… 10. Electrical connections: No rear fog lamp shall be fitted to any vehicle so that it can be illuminated by the application of any braking system on the vehicle 2. Position– (d) Minimum separation distance between a rear fog lamp and a stop lamp– A distance of 100 mm between the light-emitting surfaces of the lamps when viewed in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle (i) In the case of a rear fog lamp which does not share a common lamp body with a stop lamp: 100 mm so you could do it if you want BUT any cop could get you for it and the MOT tester could also fail it.
  12. Ah, I didn't notice he posted that he was using a 21W bulb.... if that is the case then as you say it should be bright enough. and as we both agree the Zedwizz inserts are the business, for a round a tenner each you really can't go wrong.. :)
  13. a couple of things can be done... one is to get an LED insert from Zedwizz .... I have converted both sides of the reverse light to have half reverse and half fog... but you need to use the correct bulb so that it's bright enough. i.e. red break light bulb rather than tail light bulb... I used LED ones... looks good but the inserts are easier ....
  14. like Johnyboy says... check all the connectors first for corrosion / bad connection... then work form there...
  15. Yes, with another one.... but you also need to clean the connectors on the MAF first.... also clean the CAS connector.. also do the vac test... (like ellodave said).... one of the vac pipes could have come off or be broken.. this might help you find stuff.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120&referrerid=16305
  16. Hi, he got back to me... he said he got it from ebay... couldn't remember who... I'm sure its 8mm and the best clips to use are t-bolt ones... e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-STAINLESS-STEEL-BRAIDED-FUEL-LINE-FUEL-HOSE-NITRILE-/280675763409?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=&hash=item870c93fef7#ht_1694wt_1139 and clips like these (not sure about the size) you need to confirm with the hose outer size.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Petrol-Pipe-Clips-Fuel-Line-Hose-Size-8mm-10mm-/270498335435?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3efaf50acb#ht_1679wt_1372 it's a bit a job to cut it nice as well... I used a Dremel, first I taped the hose and put one of the clips on it so the braided wire wouldn't frey... you might get someone else on here who has done it to also offer some advise... hope that helps....

  20. LOL... I know the feeling.... :)
  21. I got mine of a mate... he will let me know where he got them... have you looked at clips as well? to get a nice finish.... the lines are a bit of a mess to cut.. Clips: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=BRAIDED+FUEL+HOSE+CLIPS&_sacat=See-All-Categories
