  1. I'd say simple checks first... check all connectors (and the MAP one).. check the timing with a timing light...
  2. this is other info I have (been told, given).... > Closed Throttle Position > TPS 0.44-0.46 > Timing set at 15 Deg > IACV-AAC/V 15% > Mas Air Flow 1.30v + P/N position switch: ON > Injector Pulse 2.2 msec > Injector Duty 1.61% average values for STANDARD injectors (at idle) may vary slightly between cars > A/F Alpha 109% this is an average value and only works if you have fully functional O2-sensors and ideally you want this value to be close to 100%. any value over or under 100% means the ECU has to compensate with less or extra fuel to get the mixture right. Extreme compensations (> +/- 15%) usually mean something is wrong with either air (airleaks) or fuel (injectors/fuel pressure) > Water Temp 80 Deg C-84 Deg C > Fuel Temp 25 Deg C-35 Deg C NB: the fuel temp values are ignored by the ECU for the most part, so not really important in respect to getting the car running better . battery voltage: should be between 13.7 and 14.3 Volt (at any rpm) If the value is off, it may indicate (future) problems with the alternator the timing should always be verified with a timing light. Also the later Zeds don't follow the 15 BTDC at idle rule. They work quite different and use a variable ignition timing system to get better emissions ratios. Because of this the timing hovers between 5-10BTDC at idle.
  3. Hi, this is what I think......... but there are a few posts about these figures... cmfs/rpm 712rpm - good mas air/fl 1.28v - OK thrtl pos 0.46v - good iacv-aac/v 24% - too high, should be 15% coolant temp 81 celcius - good m/e f/c mnt= lean - OK battery 14.00v - good vhcl speed 0 mph o2 sensor - 0.22v - irrelevant unless static... should be going up and down a/f alpha 99% - OK ign timing 15btdc - kind of irrelevant as the ecu makes it that. (the timing should be checked with a timing light) inj pulse 2.47 msec - not sure, but I think a bit high inj duty 1.67% - Good
  4. could one of the cams have jumped a cog? that would make it like that... and timing adjustment wouldn't fix it.. ?!
  5. I don't believe that everyone or anyone who follows a religion is the same and I believe that most people in all religions want peace and harmony. Whilst I accept that by definition a (any) religion is in the belief that "it" is the "only" and "right" way, there are many different ways to preach/advocate that belief. Unfortunately so many people just like this guy belong to just one region and they believe that they are right and everyone else who disagrees should (and will) die. their holy book and other teachings express these sentiments very clearly. Like I said not everyone will follow or agree with what it says but some will and it is very hard for the others to go against them or say they are wrong when there is written proof. I think it is very important for people of the western world to read some of their teachings and so have a much better understanding of the ethos of their beliefs. The idea that peace, forgiveness, compassion, harmony and love is at the heart of their religion is not (in my opinion) quite correct..... maybe if you added the term " as long as you agree, say, act and worship the same" it may be closer to the truth. I am truly saddened by how horrible a religion can make some people and hurt so many others (for something that isn't even tangible).
  6. I'd say yes.... re-set it...
  7. so yours is an auto ? as so as far as I know that is what they do.... not sure if the rpms are right but it will increase. it might need a service / tune... TPS, timing and then idle adjustment ...
  8. yeah, nice job...... but what a mess at first.... actually that looked very similar to our bathroom when we did it.... two rooms into one and that really nice chocolate brown bath and sick.... lath and plaster walls and ceiling.... the dust goes everywhere... LOL... I'm glad those days are over....

  14. lol... 33... Oh well.. packing my bags...
  15. How does that work?.... wouldn't that change the amount of turns on the cam?
  16. Can't you just measure the position of the of the OEM one and transpose that on to the unorthodox one?
  17. sweet... I'll wait to see what Jim says....
  18. Hi, not sure if this is any good to you, for parts / bits....... I've got an old manual gearbox off my TT (the synchro from 5th to 4th was playing up so I replaced the box). I'm happy to part with it for a few quid. let me know if you're interested.
  19. Hi, I'm no expert on it but there a couple of reasons for it... sometimes it can just be down to a bit of condensation... so important to keep the interior dry. the other issues are either worn seals / rubber or blocked drain holes... there are a few post on the site (and in the FAQ's area) about cleaning the drain holes and you'll also find posts about either replacing the rubbers or cleaning them. from what I've read on here its popular to take them off and soak them in very warm water. and like you say a good rubber revitaliser could also be a good idea.
  20. My wife told me that he’s passed away….. I didn’t believe her… till I saw her face, now I’m a believer.
  21. and like Dave says try a loan MAF from someone....
  22. could be so many things.... it would be easer if you listed the connectors you checked.... in case you missed one... :) fuel filter or pump... or maybe a slight vac leak.... it you can't beat it you really need to take it to Jeff... have you had it on conzult? As Lee said change the PCV's first... cheapest options first... and this might help... http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.340
  23. Yeah, same from me... :happybday::dance::pint:
