  1. Ah I seeeee.... LOL.... not exactly what you said in your first post... kind of threw us off what you really meant... :p yes.... HID kit will change your life and if you want to change the look the 99 spec kit will do that as well (but that is a bit of work).... :)
  2. LOL... why not make it difficult!!!! how would anyone know what they will look like on a Z??? get someone to photoshop it... but think of the body work..... do us all a favour and don't butcher a Z'd. the 300zx lights are so nice that Lambo used them on the diablo !!!! why would you want to change them ????
  3. yeah, me too but it's rubbish by comparison.... only get half the wiring diagrams and slightly tilted.... the one i posted is very professional.. :)
  4. just found this.. looks really good.... not sure if it's been posted before, but has manuals for different years... http://z32.wikispaces.com/Factory+Service+Manual
  5. your next job is to do the ptu re-location.... if you still have a series one it is a good idea...
  6. cheers... Ah.... yes, same as me.... you have complicated matter as as well with an extension... i have however checked the extension and it's got good connections... but my free version of conzult just keeps saying "can't connect to ECCS" and there isn't a voltage /signal from the orange power wire from the ecu..
  7. OK, Kind of stumped now… have issues with my consult connector (well I thought that’s what it was). Changed the connector over and extended the cable, checked all connections and all are fine, still won’t work. Also swapped the ECU. Checked the wiring diagram and (most) wires go back to the ECU (F1) via connector M64 / F2, the Green wire goes to M17 (combination meter) and M11 then fuse…. Don’t think I checked M17… I’ve checked the rest of these and all looks OK, I can’t see anything else I should be checking ….. could the connector to the dash clocks cause this if they have problems? http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/eccs-color.gif I know my laptop and consult works because I connected to another car and it’s fine… I also tried another laptop with consult (that works on other cars) and it won’t work on mine. I used a multimeter and get readings back from both diagnostic communications wires (port 21 & 22) but nothing from the diagnostic power 31???? Not even straight off the ecu connector…. Cheers…
  8. not to everyone's taste... http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=213&category_id=61&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  9. Series 2 ptu's don't suffer with the heat problem... they are the upgrade due to that problem... I would look for another problem first... if really worried, then borrow a ptu to check. do all the usual checks .... connector corrosion, MAF, coil packs, injectors, vac leak.. etc? Conzult (or other diags)...
  10. lol... Sep 2009... three posts.... couldn't really get less active... :) welcome...
  11. has he done all the usual checks .... connector corrosion, MAF, coil packs, injectors, vac leak.. etc? Conzult (or other diags)...
  12. if no one on here has one............ from the USA... http://www.courtesyparts.com/22020-power-transistor-unit-ptu-harness-1989-1999-300zx-z32-p-182593.html or http://www.z1motorsports.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_keywords=1&plural=1&s=1&sort=3a&keywords=ptu
  13. any of these any good... or are they the ones you already have? http://www.ttxtz.com/tech/lee/ http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/ecu-color.jpg
  14. yes, but this is only for the simple version.... limited ability... the full version is a few hundred pounds: http://conzult.com/conzult/ so if Rolandas can lend it to you take him up on the offer... :) there are a few other ones as well but Conzult seems to be the most popular for the Z's BUT don't expect it to be able to help you fix all your problems... check out their web site and FAQ's check out this forum in the FAQ General section for the alternatives: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?123401-ECU-Programs-Conzult-Datascan-Calumsult&referrerid=16305
  15. Agreed... a guy did that to me when I was about 18.... not a very nice trick at all !!! anyone who does that to someone else is a thoughtless p1ck !!! unless of course the person is a tw4t and deserves it....
  16. Ah, good old German over-engineering... :)
  17. LOL... chaveville .... obviously just a piss take .....
  18. nice to see you back Dan.... :)
  19. in case they break.... less stuff on the track to clean up.... :) LOL... I was way too slowwwwww......
  20. yeah.... nuts!!!!.... i think they have some strange grading system.... how many of the car type are involved in accidents, location and likelihood of theft / damage plus some other crap.... and bang!!1 a cheap heap can cost more that a 300zx ....
  21. you have to take pipes off... I'd say that was the easier side to do.... :)
  22. LOL.. a very good reason not to use google translator... (then again none of them do)... it just doesn't do slang or grammar very well ....... :)
  23. mmmm, very tight.... down there............ lol... only way I could see to do it was to take pipes off from the top... (battery out makes it easier on the passengers side)... not too bad a job (as far as work on these cars goes) and really helps to inspect them... good luck..
  24.  totally understand your disappointment...
