  1. Ah... lol... not quite Cardiff... a bit far for me, only up here when I work and doing 12 hours shifts.... right.... so you can get it to run but only if you block both intakes off completely after spraying a little easy start into the plenum and I take the throttle position sensor off and turn it fully to simulate full throttle then start the car it will run at 1500 rpm perfectly and until you switch it off.. so looks like an issue with the right amount of fuel getting in.... at full throttle it should rev higher than 1500... have you got a pic of the engine, it might help to diagnose.... also try disconnecting both fuel regulators ( & block off the vac lines to the plenum). also, did you get the car like this or was it working at some stage and got worse or did someone do something to it?
  2. Have you had the plugs out to check them…(if you have them, iridium’s aren’t recommended, go back to platinum), in the very least give them a clean…. and test to make sure all are working / sparking on the car. This is my understanding…. Your temp isn’t up to 80 so not sure if this is affecting some of the readings… From your readings your TPS looks OK AAC is OK but should be 15%. Air flow is good. Injector pulse 2.2 for standard, yours looks low but I don’t know how 730’s will affect that . Injector duty also looks a bit quick but this could be because of the idle. A/F is OK but a bit high... 111. only works if you have fully functional O2-sensors and ideally you want this value to be close to 100%. any value over or under 100% means the ECU has to compensate with less or extra fuel to get the mixture right. Extreme compensations (> +/- 15%) usually mean something is wrong with either air (airleaks) or fuel (injectors/fuel pressure) Now the O2 (LH) is not right… should pulse up and down not be right up there all the time.. try unplugging it. And see what happens. Have you done the timing with a timing light (no good reading it from the diags, as the ecu compensates and makes it read at 15). You need to get the idle speed back down, it’s hiding the problem.
  3. the Tyre size depends on the rim size (with some concession) but if you put the rears on the front how are you going to fit the bigger tires on the front rims? or are you going to swop the tires over to the rear rims? and are they standard rims? and if not what size are they? way too much rimming there!!! lol...
  4. Hi, I wouldn't out a vac / boost leak.... do the test!!! your idle is too high and could be masking some other issue. get it on conzult or ecutalk that will confirm O2's working, TPS voltage, IAA is working at the right percentage. what checks have you done? what plugs are you running? what series ptu do you have? do you have lager injectors and has the ecu been mapped for them?
  5. :crying: .... got some rust to cut out of mine as well.... good luck..
  6. mate, it sounds like it could have been a lot worse.... :) .... lol.. try to look on the bright side of it.... otherwise you'll just get even more depressed.... and you're not a mod....
  7. put some talk around the heater pipes, that should make it clear whether it's them on not.... you could have put new/better clips/clamps on them when you had the chance...
  8. sure looks like that was it.... :)
  9. I can see that a lot of work has gone into this but it's not really doing it for me either... particularly with: what do I do with the holes where my old side markers are? and what was wrong with the side markers where that are? looks like the side markers were moved to the bumper to fill in a big blank space... not a good design (imo)
  10. good idea... you may then have to take the plenum off to get to the little pipes under there.... good time to do the egr and water pipe removal...
  11. this any good.... and link... http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/eccs-color.gif
  12. any info on here any good? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_300ZX
  13. what have you checked so far....?
  14. LOL.. by the way, welcome to the forum Stewart, albeit your first contact a touch abrasive.... I too am an Aussie, but have been in the UK for 18 years now... we have a few members on here form Oz, NZ and a number of other countries all over this little planet... please don't think yours is the first or only sarcastic post.. we do get them from time to time, not always for the same reason.... but who is perfect anyway!?!?! I hope that you continue to visits us and we can be of help :) cheers, Gerry.
  15. Hi, no idea... but that is really cheap... for that money who cares, get one and if it's crap... bin it!!! lol...
  16. agreed... and that doesn't sound good, how is your oil pressure?
  17. Hi, have you done the usual clean all connectors? what series PTU do you have? Have you checked plugs and injectors?
  18. LOL... there are so many bushed and bearings/ball joints guessing isn't the way.... get it up on hoist and use a pry bar to find the problem (not too rough mind..lol.)
  19. as a kid i always like the corvette..... but now I'm not so sure .... lol... http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/active#!/1972-Chevrolet-Corvette/132647/140013
