  6. Hi team! From what I have read on other forums it seems very possible to remove the EGR whilst the engine is in and whilst the Plenum is off - helps a lot as well. My question is: I have no desire or wish to drop the tranny or do do any major removal beyond where I am at now; so I need a backup plan. Removing the two EGR pipes to the base of the plenum looks easy enough, if I can get the two/three bolts out that hold the actual EGR unit to the engine - thats good - but what if I can't remove the connection to the exhaust manifold? What are my options at that point? I have made blanks to cover the plenum connections so need a plan 'B' in case thats as far as I get with removal? Hope that makes sense. Many thanks in advance. :mac1:
  7. Thanks guys - still nervous about putting the belts/sprockets back on wrong and screwing the engine up. ;-(( I made marks on the belts and all 4 sprockets before I strripped her - and it looks like the right side lines up ok - but not the left side (marks). Need to spend more time I guess... Any help/advice appreciated and received gratefully as ever.

  9. When deleting the water pipe connectors from the throttle body's etc - is there any need to PLUG the holes that remain?? I have read a couple of different versions of plenum pulls and water bypass's - and I have not seen any mention of plugging any holes. Have I missed something - or just being manic ;-)) Cheers
