  1. DOH! Sorry Jimmy - my most humble apologies sir
  2. The 64 knuckle question is - how sure are you you can get the six nuts off of the turbo elbow to down pipes without shearing or stripping the studs!! For me it did not matter as I was doing a full turbo back cat delete at the same time - but I still sheared 2 of the studs. It would have meant another day under the car drilling out the studs and replacing with bolts/nuts if I was not replacing the damn things. Apart from that - the main issue is getting the car off the ground high enough and SAFELY - for you to spend time under there banging around. Check out Groovers fab write up here: http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107...hp?content.420 Cheers AndyGP
  3. Heya Timmy, Item 75.full lightened pulley set. - which ones did you opt for and where did ya get them sir? Any hint of price for the set would be appreciated. Best regards. Andy
  4. Is there a write up/'How To' anywhere? I did a search and looked on TwinTurbo.net and found nothing? What's the correct process guys? Appreciated as always :duffer: AndyGP
  5. YAY! It's a bit of my COLON brilliant - thanks radron lol But I think Stu may be correct having compared it to the item he mentions - well done Stu - kinda puts my mind at rest! .....But how the hell did it get behind my propshaft cover DOH!
  6. Just thought I would post this to help others who have the painful vibration issues associated with the zed. I would suggest that after you have had your wheels checked and re-balanced a couple of times and the vibration is still there, that you have your GEARBOX REAR MOUNT checked/changed - and BEFORE you change tyres, swap wheels, remove propshaft, replace centre bearing etc. It's quite a simple job and the mount is not expensive - somewhere around £50.00 I believe. :D Here is a picture from my 1990 Jap import 2+2 and as you can see it's completely collapsed. Now you may think looking at this that I had a bad vibration problem - not really! On some days the car was fine, on other days only some vibration at throttle off, and or around 55-60mph - but on other days - I had vibration like I had square wheels almost. So it defies reasonable logic so far as I can tell. Suddenly my 1990 car feels 2008 again! It is a good idea to do the centre bearing whilst your down there with the exhaust off but maybe you want to make that decision following an inspection - I would DEFINATELY do the rear mount first if it has not been done previously.
  7. When I get the bolts out I am assuming I hit it with a big rubber hammer and they will fall off (Then I woke up) prising them of sounds fun though - and there is still some skin left on the back of by hands and knuckles so... lol
  8. That's GREAT advice Graham - much appreciated. WIll test later and feed back. What would happen if the Red and Blue were switched - it looks like I have after market O2 sensors with 2 x white and one black connector sir!!!! Andy
  9. ...between the three wires guys? For a good sensor I mean
  10. The situation is not helped by those silly heat shields - especially when the 10mm bolts are already rounded Grrrrrrrrr
  11. It is metal - about 35mm long
  12. ...hiding behind my propshaft heatshield today!!! Any ideas?
  13. You helped me out yesterday actually - on a different thread
  14. I am doing a cat-delete upgrade Paul
  15. I am also stock getting my elbows off guys - the bottom 2 on each side came off sweet - they were onloy finger tight I would say!!!!!!!! But I have only managed the one top BOLT nearest the battery so far - for the other 3 I need to buy a longer 13mm socket 50 or 60 mm maybe - I think that will help. It's a bitch. Let us know your experience and what tools you used - that would really help! Thanks in advance. AndyGP
  16. Hi can someone show me / tell me which kinda 13mm socket they used to get the trop bolts outta the turbo elbows - I am having troubles to say the least! And I need to buy the right tool I feel :D Any help appreciated - after 5 hours and 5 bolts -really want to crack on and get the last 3 blighters out. Thanks. :duffer:
  17. Hmmmm Five HOURS and 5 bolts so far!!!!! I got the top one nearest the battery after about 30 mins - but the other ones all need a slightly longer 13mm socket that I don't have - will buy tomorrow. I did manage to replace my centre bearing though - jeez it was knackered
  18. Hi, There are a couple on ebay currently here... for around £20.00 squids!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350169318054 AndyGP
  19. Well - I have the 4 nuts off from under the car (2 each side) and strangely they were very loose - as in finger tight on the drivers side and my 11 year old princess could have done the ones on the passenger side - WHATS GOING ON!!? The drivers side in completely dry - no oil - but the passenger side has signs of some oil leakage and someone has tried to make good with exhaust gum or similar. This is on the other side of the turbo - NOT the elbow joint. I guess I should try and fix this while I am down here right - any ideas? Gonna try the the remaining 4 nuts from the top tomorrow evening subject to weather etc. Thanks for your help Paul & co - appreciated. Will post some pictures of the oily bits tomorrow for your comment. Andy
  20. Cheers Paul: Yeah me too - looks like someone has already rounded the 10MM bolts on the heat shield so I am gonna have to grind those off somehow  :nono: And it look slike I am gonna need to buy a couple of very good 12 and 14mm ring spanners for those bottom baby's. Can you get a socket on the top two - or is that spanner as well? Andy
  21. Hi Paul, And that's all done from UNDER the car right?
  22. Thanks Fastreds - will do. So if I shear more than two bolts on any one side - it's basically engine out time?
  23. Thanks Anthony - out of interest which ones sheared - if you recall? Was it the same ones on each side? Andy
