  1. ... I will check the reading on the Air Reg (75ohms tomorrow as well). Cheers Ollie
  2. Thanx Ollie - sounds like mine are ok - FANTASTIC. I will give them a good WD40'n whilst they are out - and then proceed to remove the remaining skin from my knuckles as I go back in for the Air Reg - lol  Cheers again. AndyGP
  3. Hi, I have taken a reading between the FICD valve terminals on the IAA valve and got a reading of 25ohms - I think I read somewhere that it should be 75ohms - is that correct? BTW getting the IAA unit off is a complete b**** and as for the Air Reg - the bottom bolt is blind and I am having extreem problems getting to it - any ideas anyone? Next Q! Anyone have an IAA unit for sale - 4 A 1990 JAP TT? Cheers guys and best regards. AndyGP
  4. Hi Legrath, Can you sell me the software only for my own Carputer - as in PhoneControl/Centrafuse etc... Andy@cheeandy.com AndyGP
  5. Hmmm - not a full member so cant post pics. but its the two smaller [than the det sensor] connectors that live next to the Det sensor in this picture http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonat...tionSensor.html AndyGP :wack:
  6. Hi - under the bonnet at the back of the engine behind the balance bar and tucked dowm towards the bulkhead are three plug/socket connectors - two of which are the same and therefore interchangable - as in - could be connected to each other the wrong way - anybody know what they are and how to tell if correctly connected. Disconnecting either does not seem to make any difference to the engine on tickover!! Bit vague I know but... AndyGP :)
  7. ...you can use windows task sceguler to run the program as and when - its free ;-) :) Assuming your running in Windows!
  8. Hi Jay, Any pics - and HOW LOUD WAS IT WITH THE REAR BOXES REMOVED? And how much would you be looking at approx? (andy@cheeandy.com) I have an appointment on the 14th to visit Simon down in sunny Southampton. AndyGP :)
  9. Scuse guys - how easy are these to fit? AndyGP
  10. Hi, I want to remove my back boxes and replace with straight through stainless with a welded tip of my choice - can you recommend anyone to do this please chaps? AndyGP
  11. Thanks Dan - do you (anyone) know how I can test the sensor? I have a meter so... A
  12. Maybe the MAFF - I had a similar issue - does she restart ok - or remain lumpy - will not rev?
  13. Hi, Are the side windows actually tinted?? If so - not very much - and how do we determin the tint - for example - is it related to the colour of the windscreen sunstrip tiny (in my case blue)? Or related to the body colour (in my case red)? Or is the data in the VIN? Need to replace the drivers side window urgently and need some help guys? AndyGP
  14. Hi Taff, Where can we get them - and do you have the part number etc. handy? MAny thanks. AndyGP :)
  15. Hi, I dont use my Zed daily anymore, maybe 3 or 4 times a week - and recently when it's been really cold - it has been VERY LUMPY when starting from cold - after 2-4 mins all is well - but very cold starts require throttle control to keep her alive - until she settles!!! (hormonal car?????) Any ideas. She has always been a fab cold starter! Has already had (within 5K) New Plugs/new MAF/PTUv2/both temp sensors. Thanx in advance. AndyGP andy@cheeandy.com 0774 616 6608
  16. Hi - I have SAW2 - it's fab. I can't recommend it enough. AndyGP
  17. ...just a gut feeling - but sounds like the MAF - can you swap it out? AndyGP
  18. I did it - looks great.. Send me an email and I will send a pic for you if your interested.. AndyGP
  19. Mmmmm - does anyone know what kind of gauges those are - in the centre section?? ;) Many thanks. Andy :hyper:
  20. I also have a custom wheel - send me your private email address and I will post you some pictures of my steering wheel before and after paddles. And yeah! being in the right gear legging it up a hill, or being able to change down when YOU want is a great help.... Cruise control (or lock up) still works. To switch from pure auto into SAW mode you just pull both paddles at the same time - same to disingage. AndyGP andy.gp@synovate.com
  21. ...the manuals are pretty good - there is a lot of work to do - took me pretty much a whole day for the electrics and half a day for the paddles (cos I dont have a standard steering wheel fitted, and I modified/converted the paddles to larger alluminium units). I have a Jap import so some of the colours of some of the wires were wrong, but as long as you go by wire location - all is well. I also incorporated the Jap Hold/Fast gearbox button so that it is the switch that switches between Sport and Normal shift programs. (Also very programmable). I spent a lot of time checking and double checking everything before I fired her up and tested. I really like it - and cant imagine not having the facility now I have it. I specifically purchased an auto Zed so that I could fit this at some time, because I prefer the option of Auto with manual override to pretty much any other gear change option. Hope that helps.... AndyGP
  22. I have the latest SAW v2 fitted to my zed - It's fab - the delay is programmable to a certain degree - as is pretty much everything else. And you get great support from ESS. The latest kit comes with paddles rather than buttons and a cool Blue gauge that shows current gear/gearbox oil temp etc. Cant sat anything bad about it - I have the luxuary of auto when I want it - and the fun of a manual when I need to drive hard round bendy bits in a hurry Hope that helps. AndyGP
  23. Hi Vijay - did you get my message about the PTU - any chance of shoving in a box toaday for me??
  24. My car runs great  (up to 3000 revs - and then misfires :( ) with the MAF disconnected - re-connecting the MAF seems to make the 3 pots on the passenger side stop firing/misfire!!!!!! I assume I need a new MAF - anyone got one pleeeeeessssse?????? AndyGP
