  1. No extra labour - plenum is bored out so that the injectors can be changed without removing it again. (or that's the idea right?). The options are: 300D-012-02 fits Sard/PE injectors onto a late model lower intake 300D-012-03 fits OEM pintle-less injectors onto a late model lower intake 300D-012-04 fits OEM pintle-less injectors onto an early model lower intake
  2. Could it be the wiring loom - maybe if you have the engine running and get the bonnet open and (take care ok) gently move parts of the loom around - also take the throttle cable cover off and gently move the fuel and coil pack supply leads around - found a random misfire like this once - there was a break in an injector wire... Worth a try.
  3. Hi, I have a 1990 300TT and I am looking to fit the 300degree kit, but I don't want to upgrade my injectors just yet so.... ... can I buy a 300degree kit that fits my current stock injectors and also allows me to go to 555's when I am ready?? Hope that makes sense! AndyGP
  4. Wow! That is low - are you sure the engine is not on the ground!! lol Great work - and thanks for sharing with us - much appreciated.
  5. Hmmm where to begin! ENGINE: Plenum off, Plenum polish in process... done EGR delete, CC Delete, AIV Delete, Water bypass, PCV Re-Route, paint and chrome everything, Unorthodox Pulley/belts, all new gaskets and rubbers + water and vacuum lines, viscous Fan delete, air-con delete, PRVR Delete, HICAS delete, fitted new O2 Sensors, new bigger rad, 16" electric fan, thermostat and custom chrome cowl, chrome water rad pipes. New FMIC, separate Tranny and Oil Rads where the SMIC's used to be. Boost controller, JD chip, 300Degree Fuel rail possibly with 555's, don't know yet. BODY: On top of which I am adding custom wide front fenders/wings, driftworks everywhere, custom engine bay skin, a wider (already have a wide arse kit) than wide rear body to accommodate 13" rear wheels (10" fronts). Custom front to accommodate the new air flow requirements. Custom lights and centre panel, custom rear bumper, and lights, custom vented hood. Custom wider sills. I don't think it will be recognisable as a zed - and for that I apologise to Funky-Si and everyone else - but I am trying to produce something tasteful, different and unique (like me) lol. Only time will tell if I succeed I guess. But if I am not satisfied that it looks (exotic) OEM - it all goes in the bin and I do something else. ;-( About 1 year to go I hope.
  6. Hi, Did the sensors work out for you ok FASTREDZ??
  7. Ha ha well said - I could'ant possibly say that.
  8. Yes Wizz mate - steel with rubber seals. Topless matey - As I said above - I would not risk the head gasket - but for upper plenum, Camshaft covers, Throttle bodies etc - I really cant see the difference. I am trying to help others without either recommending and/or slaying a supplier/retailers products - being PC is soooooooooo much fun! Just my opinion. Hope that helps.
  9. EBAY - something for everyone - if you feel they are tooooo cheap at 48 squids - buy the same set for 250 squids ha ha lol To be honest WIzz - I can't tell the difference - I am not intending to use the head gasket ;-)) but the others all look good to me. I mean the three rubber ring seals for the balance bar are 15.00 OEM, intake valve cover 18:80 for pair, throttle body 7.30 each so it's a no brainer as far as I am concerned... I am not saying they are better/or equal to OEM cos I just don't know - but they are good enough for my requirements. And I would be well miffed if i PAID 250.00 FOR THE SET!!!
  10. Yes and no - Z31 not Z32 For the right gasket kit on ebay go here:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120405742336&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en If you want exactly the same kit and pay five times as much then go here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-Cylinder-Head-Gasket-Set-300-ZX-3-0-VG30DETT-Z_W0QQitemZ360150865294QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item53daaa158e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 ;-)) I bought the 45.00 one because even for the plenum off - it is more economical than buying the individual OEM gaskets.
  11. ....In the hope that it may help someone else - here are a couple of pics of how I managed to extract the injectors from the rail. I tried pulling and levering and was basically going to mangle the connector. This is obviously dead easy with the rail out so.... ... I simply used a couple of 30mm M6 bolts, a 10mm socket and a big vice as below. I am not an engineer or a mechanic, so correct me if you are - but it worked great and I had all 6 out completely undamaged in about 10 mins.
  12. I meant Kaminari doh!
  13. 'IF' there was a copy - how many people would buy it? :x: :slap: ;);););););) :D
  14. 7.5" Lillyput touch screen is my screen of choice - no buttons - just remote control for the setup etc. Mobile internet via a voda-dongle or similar - interface - I use Centrafuse v2.1 all on a laptop/docking station in the rear. Google it if you don't know.
  15. 7.5" - depends where the screens buttons are and if you choose to hide them or leave them revealed.
  16. Well I thought I would try out my new toy as above - and I got from the standard (straight off the engine) dull grey look to this in 40 mins - that's about 20 mins each with a brown mop and a white mop - nothing in between, no sand paper, wire wheel. Can't see in the picture very well but I can see my ugly mug in the reflection pretty good. Probably not good enough - but closer than I expected. The right tools sure do help!!

  19. ...This should help with some of the smaller bits n bobs...
  20. That's ART that is...(pipe work) is that designed on a CAD system them made to order or just made 'on the car' so to speak? Beautiful stuff either way.
  21. Plenum has been/will be interrupted by a few weeks in Turkey sadly lol - I think I might leave it on BOLDY's doorstep before I fly away and see if it magically transforms for when I get back! ;-))
  22. ..apart from the fact everything is BLUE and not RED!! Ha ha - just kidding man - great job - looks fab.
