  1. ...Lucky you can't see his balance bar - that's all I can say!! ;-))
  2. Good idea - but I think I will stick with direct A to B connections where possible matey. Thanks again.
  3. I dont have AIV/EGR/Carbon cannister or any of that crap - it's deleted sir.
  4. Nice work indeed - it's an individuals vision and we have to remember and respect that. It's not a design for the masses for sure, but it's a good thing that it causes debate and conversation as long as you equally respect the guys attention to detail and quality. When you stray from the norm you are kinda wearing your heart on your sleeve to a certain degree and that kinda stuff attracts the haters like nothing else. It takes balls for sure. Looks like a 50K USD reserve - and it's up to 40K currently - something else that demands some serious respect I feel ;-))
  5. Yep go for a re-con - costs between 200-300 I would say...
  6. Cheers for that - piece of mind really - cheers.
  7. Ha ha lol - yes please do ;-))
  8. Thats a good job - with the bottle move.
  9. Can I run Vacuum lines... ...from the recirc - direct to the balance bar - rather than to the strange swan neck vacuum connector on the passenger side of the plenum? The drivers side goes direct to the balance bar - so I assume the other side should be fine doing the same. No EGR, no PRVR, no AIV, no Carbon canister - so I have nipples spare!
  10. Hey guys -it's a RED car - and it was rusty (powder coated actually) - what can I say lol ;-) Everything fits - no re-plumbing required. The temp down there is cooler as it actually benefits from direct air cooling - ELECTRIC FAN - rather than sitting in a heat trap at the top/front of the bonnet. I'm gonna go with it - see how it pans out. It is pointless making engine skins and cleaning up the bay if one leaves a dog ugly fuse-box completely visible. I plan on it being a show car as well as a daily so...
  11. ...bit dark thats all - maybe some neons.... :-!
  12. Nope - there is plenty of room with everything re-assembled matey - and the lid will be cable tied of course ;-)
  13. It now lives here... Yes Air-Con has been deleted. Before you laugh - it works out pretty well - I will just have to pump some sealent around where the cables enter/exit - just in case - but otherwise I tested blasting it with a high pressure washer and it remained dry inside. And I have drilled a new drain hole so that it does not become a spare washer bottle ;-)) Anyone else got any pics of where they moved their fuse box: I know a lot of you hide it under the chrome/carbon Smithy slam panel but.... ;)
  14. Foe those guys that have replaced all of their vacuum tubing (therefore removing the stock wastgate solenoid restrictors) - and are now stuck at 7psi boost - now you know why ;-))
  15. OK - I have restored this setup to stock and achieved the standard 7psi boost - then added .045 jets and getting about 14psi - which I believe is about right. In the hope that it helps others... As below: This is stock: This is with Boost Jets: Thanks for all of your help - car feels like a different beast now ;-)) Saving for an EBC....
  16. Sorry - you said "cheap boost upgrade" - maybe I am being sensitive! Sounded negative/demeaning -maybe thats just me ;-) No worries.
  17. ahhhh Jimmer - tell me more - tell me more ;-)) Which wastegate lines do they/should they occupy sir?
  18. Why i'd like to do this? it's nice having PIDs & OBD-II rationality vs. OBD-I's sensing only complete failures. :headvswal
  19. Welding tips are fine as boost jets - why would they not be btw?
  20. Eh yeah - but I found 8 tips - not just the two I expected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. If this is the winking mirror we are talking about - it is NOT the one I bought... http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zcar-owners.net%2Fclub%2Fdiy%2Fledmirror.htm&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 This one is more of a doner shell - the one I bought was of glue-on top variety. Apologies if I mis-read or mislead anyone. AndyGP
