EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
... As per the title... Did this today with my old lower plenum as a test.. If your EGR has been deleted - why keep the bracket as it the bracket that prevents you getting access to the Knock Sensor! I forgot to take a 'befor' picture but this is the lower plenum mocked up with the bracket positioned approx before it is removed. Its upside down in that pick which also does not help - but here is the pic with the bracket deleted. And now the right way up... And back on the engine... Hope that helps - what do you guys think? Worthwhile or not? Andy :headvswal:rolleyes:

Vacuum Lines - Boost Sensor Question??
Hi Marty, It's really just part of the process of cleaning up and simplifying the engine bay. It's personal choice but I have deleted the EGR, AIV's AVCR, PRVR, carbon canister, water bypass, done a PCV re-route, air con delete - as per the first post. Some of the jibs are just - "good to do's" whilst the plenum is iff etc. But yep - the less vacuum lines the better AFAIAC. It's more a case of deleteing the feature (AIV, EGR) though - rather than just ripping off the vacuum lines of course :D Hope that helps. Andy

Recaro seats from www.sportseats4u.co.uk
TBH it does not matter what the law staes or his consumer rights - if the sellor wants to take exception he can - and therefore tie up his money for god knows how long - thus preventing him from geting on with the task of buying seats etc etc. I think you did the right thing (got your money back)- even though technically - they did the wrong thing ;-))

Converting Hardlines to AN... How To:
Hi, Just thought I would post this as it has been a bit of a pain to get the right fittings together. basically I wanted to convert the fuel supply and return lines to AN fittings so that my entire fuel set up is solid. The fiittings I used (and there may be others) are an 5/16" to -5JIC hardline connector, which then accepts -8JIC x 1/2"UNF adapter - looks like this: And bunged to keep the crap out... It was only about £13.00 for all of the above. ;) Hop ethis helps someone else save some time and money ;-))

Carbon Fibre Overlay on Scuttle - TEST
Well I appreciate the comments and offers guys but it is just not economical for me to attempt to profit from this - I am merely A:) Trying to share ideas in the true spirit of a forum and B:) Look for constructive criticism and comment from a captive audience with similar interests. :slap: I'm a Technology Consultant on a looooong looooooong contract working in the oil & gas industry currently and my day rate is scary lovely beautiful ;-))

Carbon Fibre Overlay on Scuttle - TEST
I think you did the right thing - if your preserving the rear of your car reasonably close to stock - then they are - I think - the best option. :o I am not goin to be preserving the standard rear so... :) (I am even thinking that maybe the RX7 aftermarket light cluster looks pretty good) but will probably stick with Nissan. :headvswal Andy
