I think I have mentioned before - I have had the same thoughts - and I am going with top feed RC Engineering injectors fed via a custom top rail. All injectors from [RCE] 555-1200cc are the same price - about £60.00 each and of course the top feed injector types are many and plentiful should I wish to change - most manufacturers use them these days. It won't be ready until end of November now though ;-( Lower plenum has been machined with new bungs for the top feeds though - complete with silicone o-rings - no metal to metal contact - the whole rail will be insulated from conducted engine heat ;-)) I will get some pics up when I have something.. Which gaskets do you need? There is one on ebay for 44 squids - but I would not trust my engine with it... Some of them are ok but....

OK - you should read through this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=129801 He says his Z weighed exactly 1600kg (with half a tank of petrol and no driver), with 53/47 weight distribution. Hope that helps Lev Andy

I think anyone who has had a decent 4 wheel alignment recently could tell you this... They notmally weigh the car and determine the WD pretty accurately. Lets wait for one to come along...

Get a copy of AKVIS Sketch v5.5 upwards software - it basically can turn any picture into a pencil drawing, or an oil painting - it's pretty cool.

Well I am not going to argue with the 'Smithy' ;-)) but you can buy the top feed RC 750cc/1000ccc injectors for 30-45 pounds each and they are pretty easy to change as well. Not anything wrong with 300degree I am sure - but seems a half way house design solution IMHO , that has not really moved forward. Nearly all performance cars use top feed injectors these days. And it does not resolve the issues I have with just replacing the stock fuel rail for a similar design and being locked into side feed expensive injectors for ever. Sounds like a fab build though. Cant wait to hear that beast.

Can I suggest that you dump the 300degree fuel rail (which limits you to expensive side feed 850cc injectors) and go for the Brett Dempsey top feed fuel rail setup - you can easily go to 1000cc top feed injectors that way - and save a packet in the process. Brett is a great guy and will bend over backwards to assist you. He is happy to ship to the Uk as well. http://bde-performance.com/fuel.htm

...Go buy a TVR with your 20K ... or buy a good kit car or similar if you want to get your hands dirty/start a project. A zed is a good running side project but it is not sensible to invest that kind of money up front IMHO - and that's from someone who is on his 4th and last ZED.:rolleyes: I bought a Cerbera 2 years ago for 12K and it was the best fun you can have with your clothes on - yes bits fall off sometimes - but that's what you want from a project car/daily driver right ;-)) :dance::duffer::smash:

You could delete the EGR/PRVR/Carbon Cannister and AIV's.... And also do the water bypass and the PCV re-route - If you are that way inclined ;-) Search is your friend.
