I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
Apparently it is well documented that she would leave this week - she has a book signing in Warrington on Wednesday and it has never been re-arranged!! Also her tranny boyfriend flew out yesterday - so it's all a big con anyway!

Who's been to South Africa?
Cape Town and surrounding areas are dangerous in comparison to the UK for sure - most folks have BIG walls/fences around their homes, tight security and a big GUN - or DOG - or both! Having said that - it's beautiful - just be careful/sensible - as I know you are. I don't know Hermanus - but visited Cape Town a couple of times in the late 90's on business. It's all very corrupt of course ;-)

Stock Fan shroud - how to update.... Smooooothe...
I was about to throw away my old stock fan cowling but decided to clean it up and use it to take a fiberglass copy master for use later - or for a Carbon fibre version. It's not a hi-priority as I already have a chrome fan shroud for my fat rad and lekkie 16" fan. The original has raised ribs (for strength I guess) which makes it look dated and clunky - not exactly pleasing to the eye - and those little cubes get filled with gunk and are hard to clean right? - So - so the first job is to remove these - I used a powerfile... The idea is to smooth the fan cowling down and paint to match the engine colour scheeme - and/or cover in carbon fibre etc.. This is after I cut it down to size a little;) Starting to remove the ribs... Test fit on a 'real' radiator... Hot glued a temp wooden brace in place in order to keep the shape/geometry correct. This is after about 40 mins additional sanding with a mouse... I removed anything that would make taking a copy off of it difficult including the side channels that are no longer needed, and I cleaned up the brackets. Pretty much ready for hi-build primer and a top coat - then I will take a copy/mold in fiberglass and see where we go from there. Once painted - the de-ribbed version looks much more 'up to date' and business like. Just thought that might help some of you modders... Have not seen anyone doing this - but I am sure someone has. :)

Did some work on the Fuel setup today...
Slight update - made a bracket from a T-Bolt hose clamp and have cleaned up a lot of lines. Just needs a coat of hi-build now and ready for paint. Not sure if the 'Y' piece (output to rails) will stay there - but it's temp for now until I get the rest of the plumbing bits together and see how the braided bends work out. Spent nearly 400 on Aeroquip hose and fittings so far jeeez!

TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
Have any of you guys ever been to Lima??? It's a wonder that they have achieved what they have achieved to date IMHO - And why would they bother risking dealing in the UK again?

EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
Well I did more than look into it - I did it/have done it - and I can assure you I will be able to replace my knock sensor without dropping the gearbox or removing the lower plenum. OK water pipes etc yes - but thats all. Check the pictures - the mod works.

EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
I thought I would cover this off before I got asked... I have tested this myself - yes - with the engine reassembled/lower plenum fitted it is possible to completely remove the knock sensor retaining bolt - and therefore remove/change the knock sensor without removing the plenum/lower plenum (or the engine) ever again. Fiddly, but possible. So I am awarding myself FIVE dancing bananas for this MOD.:dance::dance::dance::dance: :duffer:

Anyone built an Ultima GTR?

http://www.drinksdirect.co.uk/acatalog/king_cobra_75cl.jpg Are we still talking beer??- Anyone built an Ultima GTR?
Yes - it will NEED to cost at least 40K to do it justice. Anything less will just be a waste of time and result in a dog of massive proportions! A good well completed kit can sell for a reasonable return (but never what it cost of course) so it's worth doing well. If he is going to be a cock about it - tell him to build a Westfield, Cobra or dodgy Countach ;-))- EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
Here are a couple more shots of the EGR bracket removed with lower plenum on - and off. This is on a spare dev/play engine so...- Problem with indicators and kerb lights.
Well done matey - you got there - that's the important thing. ;-))- Relocating the main fuse box
Cheers- EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
I purchased my Knock Sensor sub-loom from courtesy in the USA - it was only about 20USD - and the price over here (UK) seems to have gone silly at around 35-40UKP!! I had it shipped over with a load of engine parts so... When you say 8-10-12mm bolts - I assume you mean general M6, M8 and M10 (and even some M12) bolts I used for my engine dressing - I basically purchased A2 grade Stainless Steel Allen bolts in various flavours from ebay as and when I needed them - then polished the heads myself. I did that because there are so many various lengths required - so buying 10 at a time with free postage was a no brainer for me. May not be for you if you have easy access to a supplier though. ;-)) If you want to know which ebay trader I used - let me know. (andy.gp@gmx.com) Andy- Alternative to NA Power steering Pump...
Think I will stick with the original pump and do the de-vaning, and convert the lines to -8AN stainless braided.- Relocating the main fuse box
Nice one - any pics sir?- EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
You still need to remove water pipes and things - plus the hands/arms of a small svelte childlike female Japanese gynaecologist ... (or Bruce Lee's sister ;-))) I am not suggesting dismantling your engine to perform this - mod - just do it whilst your plenum is off for other things. The Knock Sensor is an important bit of kit, the bypass makes me nervous and having to dismantle my engine at any point to replace a single sensor makes me angry so... You can probably see in the pic how far in it is Dan. Andy- EGR Bracket Removal Makes Knock Sensor Access Possible...
Damn - I am alone on this I can tell.. ;-)) - Anyone built an Ultima GTR?
