  1. can anyone tell me where to find the lock number for getting new keys cut? the locksmith rekons it should either be a small sticker with a 4 digit number prefixed by an x or a y or stamped on one of the lock barrels

  5. I'm having problems with getting keys cut for my car. the car came with one key which was a copy not a proper 300zx key i wanted to get a spare so i got it copied by the key cutter onto a generic nissan blank. it looks identical to my key that came with the car but doesnt work. having been back to the shop twice they have adjusted the key but it still doesnt work in the doors and works in the ignition but is very stiff next i bought a proper nissan 300zx blank key (black plastic) and have had this cut from my working key (at a different key shop) however this doesnt work in any of the locks either. the lock shop think the 300zx key is thicker than my working key??? i have one more proper blank. is there a way of getting it cut to fit my locks rather than from my existing key? any other helpful hints / ideas?

  7. i,m thinking perhaps i do want one, how soon do you want to know / order them
  8. seem to remember you have to swap the pedals too, you need a feed from the clutch and break pedals
  9. i think i want one but i'm in the not sure if they are cool or tacky perhaps we need a poll to decide then again if they become too common then i might stick with the soon to be rare non light up decisions..........
  10. did i miss something?
  11. i thought the dim relay is to do with the diped beam coming on dim with the side lights and was only a uk thing. could be wrong can you confirm which lites don't work: side, dipped, full beam, hazards, rear etc. and any mods like hids as i under stand it the dipped and full beam use the same fuse and the relay selects which one is on. seperate fuses and relays for left and right. so i doubt the problem is with the fuses unless it is the main lighting fuse or supply or ground to the lighting control or fuse box these pictures may help: (click each picture to enlarge)

had a play with google earth but it couldn't find any routes but the route you suggest looks good on the old fashioned paper map
  13. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66739 although thought the fuses for the front lights were in the larger engine bay fuse box. certainl the fogs fuse and headlights relays are. if your still stuck in the morning i can take a photo of my uk fuse box .

  24. the fog switch shouldn't turn on your side lights the standard front fog has the side light built in and is fed by a 3 pin connector (as per suffolk's picture) i would sugest your fog light connector is currently pluged in to your after market side lights (wrongly)
