  1. in the instructions with your kits it says to uprate your headlight fuse (to 15A iirc)
  2. me me me someone's seen me at last :)
  3. i was told all uk models have it, but i don't seem to on mine (H) perhaps it was only on the latter ones
  4. connect the spare wire on the car loom (amp power)to the switched remote out of the headunit. some headunits just have one switched out to do remote amps and electric ariel, some have seperate ones for amps and ariel
  5. having been let down again i'm looking for someone to do my manual conversion. I have the full conversion kit ready but don't have the ability / motivation to do it myself the car does drive but only in 1st and second so i could take it somewhere nearby or it could be done on my drive/garage or failing that looking for someone to take it away on a trailer and bring it back working
  6. i've got 2, tt for daily drive, na for special ocasions

i've decided that the 303 is a little far south and dosent apear to have an easy way to turn round so i might wait for you at junction 5 or go straight to the pub depending on whether i'm running late or not

hopefully i will make it, depends what work spring on me between now and then
  10. I really like the sound of the bose when they are working properly, they just don't go loud enough so they will be going at some point, havn't worked out how to fit a loud enough system in a convertable... yet . off course if you fancy the challenge...... I might take you up on the offer of coming over for you to look if i don't have any inspiration in the neantime, however it won't be till after the gear box is replaced as it's a bit far to go with only 2 gears :)
  11. yes the ariel goes up, also i would of thought i would get nothing rather than just no bass if that was the problem
  12. I've just wired in my in dash satnav and it's gone a bit wrong, I've been stupid somewhere but i just can't see where, hoping for some inspiration :) it all worked fine, aftermarket stereo wired in, both front speakers origonal bose ones with built in amps working fine (no rear speakers) power to amps taken from headunit electric ariel switched output so i add the in dash sat nav, Y-split the permanent live, switched live and headlight feeds; attach ground to stereo ground point; short handbrake and reverse sensors to ground, feed speed sensor from speed sensor connection in passenger footwell. now the sat nav works correctly, but the stereo dosn't - the headunit powers up, plays CDs, ariel goes up etc. however: with sat nav screen open only get left speaker and only high frequencies, no bass with sat nav screen closed i get no sound at all please, what could i possibly have done wrong ?
  13. i used them. absolutely abismal service sent 2 parcels to different adresses, they stuck the wrong labels on them so they went to wrong places, denied it, had to arange another company to redeliver both parcels there system for reporting failed pick up is pathetic and it once took them 2 weeks to actually pick up my parcel another time they delivered my parcel back to me (well actually the company 2 doors down) about a week after i sent it of about 20 parcels they probably did what it said on the tin less than half
  14. well thats a relief, i thought it was a middle age crisis car
  15. ok , sure i'll have a look
  16. the centre speaker was standard on some models if you post lwb / swb and jap / uk and age of car it could help as well as is the head unit / other speakers still stock ones. maybe a photo of your wiring? a lot of the bose speakers had built in amps in or near the speakers which take power from the headunit. from memory i think the power for all of them came from one connector on the headunit. i'm a bit confused from your discription which bits are / are not working from your description

  18. got mine, its shiny, got lots of pictures, arived in time and has a hook to hang it up with  personally i would have prefered a little more callender and a little less picture, just enough to write things to do on the callender part
  19. i went to the one in february and there were 8 or 9 zeds there but i only saw one zed owner they were all spread out throughout the carpark whereas all the other car clubs had managed to park in blocks
  20. my insurance company gave me a base model corsa while mine was being repaired.
  21. with my head unit in the top slot i had to trim a bit of the top of the head unit suround to get it to fit. with it in the bottom slot there was no way the suround would fit on
  22. can anyone recomend where to buy a one piece propshaft from?
