We will drive around the Island, take some photos, chit chat the usual, then pop off for lunch somewhere, then set up camp, then go bowling at 6pm, then either attend the main island carnival or go to a pub and have some drinks, or go back to the campsite, have a BBQ, drinks etc. Up to you.

OK - I've now booked the ferry for 9.00 Saturday. I'm still not sure about Sunday as I've not camped since I was a teenager so, at the moment, I've booked a return ferry for 21.30 on Saturday. If I do decide to camp I can always pay the extra when I return.

where abouts are we meeting and where we camping ?

Campsite is booked for 10 tents, price will be £4.50 Per person per night.

It all depends on what time everyones ferry's arrive... I've sent Scotty a quick pm asking if he's worked out a meeting time and place on the IOW.

 

We'll probably bump into eachother at red funnel in soton or where ever everyone's going over from :D

I'll come and get you as you get off the ferry,

I'm booked on the 9.00am Saturday Southampton ferry.

I've booked my return for 21.30pm on Saturday BUT I am thinking I am now more likely to camp and return on Sunday evening. It will be an experience as I haven't camped since I was a teenager.

The weather forecast is good and I've sorted some camping gear out and it's in good order so I will probably use it.

Red Funnel say it is OK to change my return trip...I just need to turn up, but if I do decide to camp I will let them know by phone before 6.00pm Saturday.

They say it will cost a £5 change of booking fee (but I guess they will also charge the difference between a day return and a short stay).

I'm 95% sure I will camp.......if I do I hope you won't mind my snoring lol

I'm still on for this but can't make the Saturday now as my wife's aunt (who she is very close to) is seriously ill and we have to go to London on Saturday. So I will be coming over on Sunday for as much of the day as I can make, Athene I have your mobile number so I'll contact you Sunday a.m. (not too early, though if you're camping you'll be awake at first light anyway :D) if that's OK, find out where you're at and go from there. Hope i don't miss TOO much fun.............!!
