personnaly i like the infinity reference range, i have it in both of mine

got a spare set somewhere, will try and find them before japfest

look for solder joints that are dull in colour compared to the others or where the solder is sitting on the circuit bourd like a ball rather than half a ball. or concentrate on ones that might have moved or vibrated ie ones with big things attached or connectors attached to fix it just heat it with a soldering iron till the solder is all liquid to be honest if your going to the effort to resolder any joints you might as well do all of them

houses are meant to be inspected every few years (think it's 10) but very few have been. in order to sell your house it has to have an inspection certificate. when you come to get it inspected at some point in the future you could just claim you did it before the law changed or it was like that when you moved in. however the recent change in colours used for wiring could give you away if they are on the case or care

no, mate, corgi do gas , you need an neceic qualified electrician but seriously, you don't need to be part P qualified to do the work, just to issue the certificate. you need to check that the electrician that is going to issue the certificate is happy to certify someone elses work as a lot are not. also for some of the tests and inspections he may need to see stuff as the work is done rather than once it is finished. you dont need to ring lighting, just link through the fittings and drop switch feeds down to the switches i'd be suprised if the oven is on the ring main if you extend the ring yourself and don't get it certified, when you come to sell the house and have to get it certified then the colour wire you use will date the work and give may away that you should have had it certified

yup, that's the point, having plugged your stock 2 pin plug into the 2 pin soket of the adapter, the main antena is wired to the useful plug that goes into your head unit and the screen antena is wired to the centre connector in the picture so you can plug it into something else if you wanted

:) so you can plug something in to the screen aerial, not sure why it is a socket not a plug, i bought one of them and cut the middle connector off to save space havn't you got it fitted yet?

thats not an antena connector , its an audio splitter you want:

the speed signal goes to the speedo then on to the ecu the ecu varies how heavy the power steering is, lightest at slow speeds, heavier at high speed. if for some reason the ecu does not recieve a speed signal it defaults to going fast heavy mode as this is safer than the other way round. a common reason for the ecu to not get the speed signal is a dry solder joint on the speedo although this will often be apparent in the speedo being intermitent especially at low speed. that said, there is a considerable difference between heavy power steering and no power steering

mine did this, if the speedo kicked up to 20mph when you started the car all was good. if not the power steering was heavy till i got to 20mph. started doing it when i slowed down for junctions or parking. 2 scools of thought 1. dry solder joints on speedo 2. cheap kmph to mph converter i cut out my converter and all is good, no idea what speed i'm doing but at least i can park in a car park

i looked at those too, decided i didnt want the clear with red bulb look so it came down to white to match the front wing or black to try and hide, ideally i would scrap them and fill and paint

what if i said: i want to fit a new thingamybob to my zed, i've had it for 6 months now and not got round to fitting it because: 1. none of my mates are in to cars and i find it boring working on it on my own 2. i need someone to hold the other end 3. i don't have any ramps and i'm too fat to fit under it without any 4. the missis would skin me if i did it on her driveway can anyone provide: 1. some company 2. a hand 3. some ramps or a lift 4. a place to do it the next day my thinamybob is fitted and we all agree it was a good meet and we should do more like it as standing in a carpark in the rain gets a bit boring...... a better example may be : few months ago one of the girls on japgirls wanted a hand with her engine so a load of us packed up some tools and drove over there, did the job, had a good time, and learnt quite a lot
