  1. fitting uk clocks does not remove the speed limiter as that is controled by the ecu. the signal from the speed sensor goes via the clocks to the ecu, changing the clocks does not change the signal going on to the ecu. the adapter/chip/converter/bypass that you fit to the back of jap clocks to make them read in miles fools the ecu into thinking you are going slower than you are (thus "raising" the limit point) when my auto box blew (wouldnt change up to top gear) my rev counter did funny things (may not be attal relevant) your limit point being at 96mph may be due to poorly adjusted new speedo (adjustment pots inside) get a gps and compare speeds
  2. i'm thinking of other uses for it :)

  11. well , what the policeman said to some of us was he had a complaint about one car he knew the colour but not which exact car one idiot had spoiled it for all of us but we were all guilty by association it was just a warning if we didn't accept the warning he would do us for trespas as we were on a private road he just noted details for all of us, no paperwork to sign personally i thought the trespas was a bit extreme: drive along normal road, pass open gate and small sign saying private road and one saying no vehicle access.(having stoped to check signs on the way out) road has a few potholes but otherwise looks just like it did before the gate I thought private road only refered to who maintained it (my aunt lives at the end of a private road and anyone can drive along it) pass a number of parked cars and park on the concrete less than a meter from the road. other cars come and park go take some photos, leave, stop next to other parked cars, police stop for a "chat". personally i wassnt too woried about a warning, however i'd hate to have my car crushed due to me sometime in the next year being associated with someone who caused offence

(6) A person who fails to comply with an order under subsection (3)(a) is guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.
