  1. insid the door is a small rectangular black box that controls the window motor, they are well known for dry solder joints. unfortunatly to get to it you need to take the door card off which requires the window to be down try slamming the door a few times you might be lucky
  2. i was looking for them in the vert (as that is a 95 reg car) it shows them in the wiring diagram for both vert and non vert
  3. according to my 95 to 2000 service manual there is a circuit for "footlights" i'm asuming these will be small bulbs somewhere in the footwell that come on when the door is opened. the wiring seems to match the manual but i cant find the lights does anyone with a '95 onwards car have these? if so where exactly are they hiding?
  4. excellent, chears guys, i've got 12 stock wheels and only one working car to put them on :) going to put the best ones on the car and keep the next best 2 as spares
  5. i know the stock UK rear wheels are wider than the stock import rear wheels, but wheels confuse me so i was wondering..... what are the benefits of wider wheels? what are the down sides to wider wheels? is anything else different (ie in the wheel mounting) can i fit UK rears straight onto my import? will they stick out further or rub on the inside? can i fit import rears straight on to my uk car if i needed to? (ie keep just one size spare wheel)
  6. I've got one of the earlier versions, it was before they invented the self docking charging station so i had to remember to charge it reguarly. it did a fairly good job of cleaning but was a bit heavy handed in detecting walls and furniture, i used to use it quite a lot as it was good at picking up cat fur and would also hoover the sofa. it broke about 3 years ago and just went round in circles, then i moved house and still havn't unpacked it. hmmm, might go and look for it.....
  7. ok, here's my dash: i think i might hade been looking at it from the wrong angle, as in i expected to be looking at the head, thinking about it being reachable from below i think i may have found it:
  8. good advice, but many cups of tea and 3 days latter the pedal is still in the car, but atleast i havn't kicked sh1t out of the car yet
  9. i don't supose you have a photo of the location of this hidden bolt do you? or a bit more description. i've got the clocks out but i just cant find it
  10. i seem to remember something about imports and cruise control only working above a certain speed, whereas uk cars will let you set the cruise at a much lower speed
  11. they just look on autotrader etc to see what they are selling for (actually selling, not advertised but not selling) first check that they are looking at the correct type of car, when mine was in an accident they were lookin at Z31 not Z32, i also had to tell them mine was a manual turbo and to stop looking at prices for NA autos next send them links to cars of similar specs that have sold and ask for that generally they will give you the car for 20% of the final figure you agree on
