Dorset Japanese Car Show: Sunday 2nd August 2009
are you suggesting that i will find all these people on a 300zx stand? if so i will raise your list of 6 to a list of 10 i found in this very same thread here: 1. Hellraiser +1 2. 300zx_girl + Banners / Stand (with permission from Kim of course!) 3. Sussex stu 4. Zogg 5. Murt 6. Sonic 7. riobenson +1 8. ianl 9. zsdeadbaby1 10. nutter4149 however i feel we may be both disapointed if we set our expectations that high

uk fog lights?
if you remove the blank cruise control switch front you will see that the switch is not soldered to the bourd behind it. so you need to find a uk pod with cruise, unsolder the switch (and i think another component and solder it into your cruise control switch holes, then transfer the fog switch front. then you need to find the wires that would go to the cruise control (if fitted) and cut them and attach your fogs. or attach fog wires if not fitted

F A O all members
Sorry , but i'm not going to vote either way on this and i think to ask all the members to vote without presenting evidence for and against (ie x many happy customers, y many indiferent customers, and z many p1ssed off customers) is unfair. i wouldnt expect everyone to be happy however good you are , someone will always feel they could have been happier. { i never thought i'd ask for less democrocy on this forum!!} i've not bought anything from him so can't comment on his reliabilaty. from what i can tell from a quick (20 min ) read of relevant topics 2 people are happy and one person feels let down. also it appears he has possibly comunicated poorly and was audacious enough to take a holiday in the middle of breaking a car- as i say not enough evidence to convince me to hang him

Clownpants
Partly to try to help you sort your purchase and partly because i think your being a bit harsh on the guy: are you sure the stock radio needs a code? neither of mine do. if it does then seeing as its a uk car he's breaking, you should be able to get the code from a nissan dealer by telling them the radio seriel number and the car reg (it may take a bit of sweet talking to explain why the radio isnt in the car you don't need to have the amp for the rear speakers to use the radio, the output will run speakers, in fact if you have aftermarket rear speakers i would recomend against fitting the rear amp. if you do want it, it may help to know it is a single amp located in the boot under the driver side trim over the wheel arch all stock radios (uk and Jap) had the double arial plug, it's a diversity reciever, it picks the strongest signal from the electric ariel or the windscreen ariel (so i don't see how that makes him a bad person) forgetting to include the carside part of the loom which you had asked for seems to be the only thing he has done wrong, annoying to you obviously , but is it seriously a hanging offence ( i think i have the plug you need in teh garage, i'll look tommorow for you)

whats the width of a 300?
however, once i've parked my zed in the garage i like to open the door, get out and go into the house, none of which are possible in the garage at my last house (ex-council)

Brake trouble, the light is on on the dash.
i would have thought that the only thing that changes with the brakes when you turn the engine on would be the vacuum feed to the servo assist. however a leaky servo would cause the brake pedal to stay difficult to push. perhaps youve reconected the vacuum feed from the plenum to the wrong place? radio fuse is in the fuse box in the driver footwell to the right of the accelerator pedal

Track session thread?
i was just thinking when i posted my japfest photos in the members only section, would we get more new members coming to meets and possibly subscribing if they could see event photos. i don't think i would have bothered going to my first meet if i hadnt seen photos of other meets surely it would also help show our cars off to others. also i posted my photos partly so people who were on the track had photos of their cars, if half the people on teh track can't see there photos then it's kind of pointless, i certainly havnt got time to cross reference photos with members that are subscribed, so it leaves me tempted not to bother i totally understand the need to have some sections reserved for paid up members, but it strikes me with this one we might be missing some free advertising and publicity

Do z's look slow gong round the track?
the first run was slow due to the weather the second run was a lot faster, not seen any viseos of that yet in the second run i didnt actually look at the speedo but i was doing 6k to 6.5k revs most of the way round 3rd gear for corners and 4th gear for straights. so was probably doing between 90mph and 130mph. Jimmy, Marco and Paul were all going faster than that
