  1. Hi my names Nick, im onto my second zed which ive had for 3 months. I spent £9k on my last zed, and i am relapsing already. I dont need it but i WANT MORE POWER!!! I find myself arresting people for no reason to get overtime and spend money on my zed. I now realise i have a problem. Thank You
  2. Gordon Brown. Easy!
  3. The only other thing he could possible be doing, bar regretting that carbon bonnet idea, is sorting out his flash hair do :rofl::rofl:
  4. Not 100% sure when it is yet mate, Im pretty sure there is a Reading home fixture on when it should be, but i'm in the process of checking
  5. Just a quick bump to see if anyone else is interested in coming, get your names down! Im still trying to sort some sort of club banner out for us, but life just seems to be getting in the way, as per usual!!!
  6. Has everyone esle moved out of the SC area then???
  7. alberta is canada mate. sounds dodge to me!
  8. Hammerite spray is very good. Heat resistant and give a good finish. Used the black on my mate Legacy turbo, and they came out really nice. 2 years on and not a sign of flaking.
  9. Alright Liam, long time no see! Right so, heater matrix pipes are they seated correctly, i had a similar problem when one of the pipes hadnt seated properly and would occasionally spit out a bit of steam. So youve got steam coming from the drivers side at the rear of the engine bay. Did you have the plenum water bypass done when you had the engine rebuilt? Other than that i cant think of any other water pipes that run round that side of the engine Nick
  10. Performance wise. Start with chassis and brake mods. The zed has got enough power for any track novice, but before you start boosting up the turbos, i would seriously sort out the chassis first. It will make your car soooooo much quicker through the majority of the circuit, be able to carry more speed through the corners, and when the desire for more power does come, you will already have an idea on how your car handles on the limit. Speak to Legrath, hes on a similar mission. All the best with the project Nick
  11. Dont for a minute think im going to fund your beer fund fella!
  12. good example.... but still not 100% to my tastes
  13. thats why they invented latex gloves!
  14. peeps, realising that we have alot on in May, with JapFest and Z008. Do you guys want me to sort out a monthly meet as well or what? Let me know if you do so i can get working at it. Your Faithfull servant Nick
  15. Ill come along for moral support, not going to run mine until i got some of my bits, which aint for a while.
  16. then your half way there. If you can keep organised with everything, youll be fine. What i did when i had some garage space at my parents, i bought a engine from a clapped out mini from my local scrappy, and just worked my way round it. Just took it apart and put it back together. It got me really confident with tools, and more than anything, i worked out a system that i now stick to when it comes to knowing where stuff goes
  17. To be honest, the way i did it was exactly that, got a haynes manual and getting stuck in. I learned 95% of the stuff i do now through practice, making mistakes, and learning how to get round those mistakes. just get stuck in and get your hands dirty. Mechanics is easy! all it is is taking something apart in the right order, change what ever is busted, and put it back together in the right. Just learn to be patient and take your time, make notes. Its all easier than it looks!
  18. mate, it could be something as simple as a release bearing. Dont get yourself wound up just yet
  19. what makes you think its screwed?? apart from the fact it wont go into reverse. Does it just grind or what?
  20. Its not my thread mate, i was just checking on how vijay was getting on with this. Nothing more
  21. I think that is a VERY good idea!
